Hollowpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Ashstar leapt onto the Tallrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!"

Hollowpaw strode forward, his face healed up. He was as handsome as ever, ready to recieve his warrior name.

Ashstar looked down at the apprentice. "We gather here today to make one of our apprentices a warrior. He has proven himself worthy to climb the ranks of WindClan and receive her warrior name. Hollowpaw, please step forwards." Once the tom did, she continued with the ceremony. "I, Ashstar, leader of WindClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Hollowpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Hollowpaw nodded. "I do." He glanced around for his mother; she wasn't there.

Ashstar nodded. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Hollowpaw, from this moment you will be known as Hollowbranch. StarClan honors your dedication and skill, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan." The leader leapt down and rested her muzzle on top of the new warrior's head, finishing the ceremony.

Quailfeather watched with a proud smile on her face as her second apprentice gained his name. He certainly deserved it, and as long as he kept a good brain in his head he'd do well as a warrior. She wished Gustpuddle and Hollowfang could be here to see this. "Hollowbranch! Hollowbranch!" she cheered, glowing pride in her frost-blue eyes.

Hollowbranch stood tall as the clan cheered his new name. He couldn't wait until his name was announced at the gathering.
