Orchidpaw's and Birdpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Blizzardstar smiled as she hoped onto the Highrock, not only one, but two apprentices were finally ready to get their warrior names! “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Orchidpaw heard the call and smiled some before she groomed her silvery white spotted tabby fur and came from the apprentices den glancing back to her sister Birdpaw to see if she was coming before she sat down.

Lichenfang came from the warriors den to watch the ceremony.

Birdpaw came right behind Orchidpaw with a smile. She spent a little time grooming herself beforehand so her pelt glistened in the light. She sat beside her sister, head held high.

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white leader finally decided to go on "Orchidpaw, Birdpaw, please, step forward”.

Orchidpaw smiled and looked to Blizzardstar before she stepped forward with a small smile.

Upon hearing Blizzardstar's summons, Leopardclaw dashed out of the warriors den and sat down beside his mate, watching proudly as two of his precious daughters stepped forward to receive their warrior names. He couldn't seem to control the broad, greatly excited smile on his face, as the golden spotted tom's paws kneaded the earth in anticipation. He hadn't expected that his second-born kits would receive their names before Reedpaw and Honeypaw, but with their unfortunate imprisonment it didn't come as a surprise. Reedpaw should be ready very soon, and I've heard Honeypaw's training is going excellently as well. They all will be strong, worthy members of ThunderClan, in their own time.

Birdpaw felt her heart beat as she took a step foward. A step closer to becoming a warrior. The she-cat held her breath as she looked up to Blizzardstar.

Blizzardstar took a deep breath “I, Blizzardstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn” Her gentle eyes soon landed on the the two apprentices “Orchidpaw, Birdpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your lives?”.

Orchidpaw blinked but she spoke up confidently her head held high. She would do anything for her clan even lay down her life for it so it wasn't wrong when she said in a confidant voice"I do"

Birdpaw's eyes shone with excitement and pride. She felt happiness course through her body. She stood beside her sister as they recieved their warrior names. "I do." Her voice shook with anticipation but she voiced it boldly.

Blizzardstar smiled and nodded approvingly before she continued speaking “Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Orchidpaw, from this moment you will be known as Orchidfeather. StarClan honors your great spirit and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan. Birdpaw, from this moment you will be known as Birdflight. StarClan honors your trustworthiness and determination, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan” With that, she leaped off the Highrock and rested her muzzle on the newly named warriors' heads to conclude the ceremony.

Leopardclaw leaped to his paws to call out his daughter's new names proudly, his eyes shining with barely-withheld emotion as he dashed forward to greet them with nuzzles and licks.  "Orchidfeather, Birdflight!  I'm so proud of you two, you're going to be exemplary warriors!"  He stepped back soon after though, giving them a bit of space; padding over to to Lichenfang, he wrapped his long tail around her shoulders and nuzzled his mate's cheek, overcome by a rare bout of excited joy.
