Duskkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Blizzardstar leaped onto the Highrock, ready for another ceremony “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Duskkit raced over to where Blizzardstar stood watching over the clan. He knew exactly what this ceremony was for, and he was ready for it.

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white leader finally decided to go on "Duskkit, please, step forward”.

Specklefang pattered out of the warrior's den, her eyes flicking immediately to Blizzardstar then the brown tom Duskkit directly below her. Striding out Specklefang sat herself a respectful distance away from the apprentice to-be.

Leafstorm shadowed his mate as usual, sitting close to her as he watched Blizzardstar with interest.

Duskkit was one of the kits born in the cave that Sunpaw was taken to. Although Leafstorm didn't really know any of them personally, Sunpaw was like an aunt to them, it seemed.

Duskkit leaped forward, chest fur all puffed up with pride.

Blizzardstar smiled at the kit before talking again “Duskkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Duskpaw” She took a quick glance at the warriors gathered before picking one for the new apprentice. She just hoped she had made the right choice “Your mentor will be Specklefang. I hope she passes down all she knows on to you” With that she jumped off the Highrock, dismissing the clan. She would need to keep a close eye on them, just in case.
