He lead them straight for the farthest reaches of Moonlit Creek. Any other night, the deputy would have stopped to admire the beauty of the water, but tonight his heart pounded anxiously for the whole of Skyclan. With fire hot on their tails, they had ran. Thankfully, it had not followed them here. Even if it did, the cool water would prevent the flames from leaping over and singeing their already warm fur. Here they were safe. An exasperated sign broke from the black and white tom's maw. Rippedsky looked over his clanmates and those from the tribe. He could not even imagine what they were thinking. Everyone appeared to be there. Pansyface caught the corner of his eye and he turned to face her, "Double check that everyone is accounted for. If even one cat is missing, let me know right away."

The younger she-cat was responsible and he trusted she would get the job done well. He then turned to search for the medicine cats. Oceanlight and Rabbitfoot were already set to work checking over any cats for injuries. A soft smile flitted across his features as he thanked Starclan silently for the wonderful medicine cats Skyclan had been blessed with. Rippedsky meowed softly to them, "Let me know if you need anything. I will send out any warriors you need for herbs immediately." The deputy tried not to think about the possibility of their camp turning into a smoldering pile of rubble. He bit his tongue as he turned to weave through the clan once more. Even if the weight of deputyship seemed like too much to bear that day, the clan needed him.

Pansyface, who had been trudging along a little behind the patched deputy, looked up with a start when he addressed her. Though not used to being in a position of power, she nodded firmly and turned to check on her clanmates as they began to slow down. Taking notes from her memory, she spotted most cats she knew but to double check...."Is everyone here? Check, if any of your family or friends are missing." With all the new Tribe cats among them, the young warrior didn't know for sure if they were all in attendance. Praying that they hadn't missed anybody, she continued to sweep her murky gaze over the group.

Night trudged along near the back of the group, his lungs aching from inhaling the thick black smoke. When that gray and white she-cat, Pansyface he thought was her name, called for him to check for missing cats, he was at a loss. To his knowledge, all the Tribe cats had made it out okay, but he couldn't say for SkyClan's members. He only knew Rosepaw really.... Still, he looked around, feeling an unsettling helplessness he hated with every fiber of his being.
