Weedpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Blizzardstar smiled as she hoped onto the Highrock, finally another apprentice was ready to become a warrior “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Weedpaw cast his gaze at the Highrock, spotting Blizzardstar. He knew what was coming and was ready for it. His eyes strayed to his great catch on the fresh-kill pile, an owl. Not just the owl, but all of his efforts had proved him worthy of warriorhood.

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white leader finally decided to go on "Weedpaw, please, step forward”.

That he did, swaggering forth and puffing out his chest. It was evident in his eyes that he was excited to finally advance along.

Blizzardstar took a deep breath “I, Blizzardstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn” Her gentle eyes soon landed on the the tom “Weedpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?”.

"I do," he answered solemnly.

Blizzardstar smiled and nodded approvingly before she continued speaking “Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Weedpaw, from this moment you will be known as Weedblaze. StarClan honors your cunningness and determination, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan” With that, she leaped off the Highrock and rested her muzzle on the newly named warrior’s head to conclude the ceremony.
