Orchidpaw's Moonstone Journey

Orchidpaw seemed to take notice of the change of emotion . She decided to let Cherrykit change the subject. She gave a small smile"no way really I didn't think he was ever shy the way he is now"She purred smiling.

Cherrykit laughed, her tiny high-pitched voice sounding like chirping birdsong as she continued, her paws shuffling in a manner that showed she could barely contain her excitement.  "He was, especially around mom when they were young!  She said that he would get all stuttery, and trip over his paws while they were hunting!  He must've looked like a clumsy badger!"  Pure childlike laughter poured from her mouth as she hopped to her paws, tromping ungainly around in the grass with her tongue flapping goofily, likely an imitation of what she thought Leopardclaw had looked like.  She ended up on her back in a patch of soft, silver-tinged grass, giggling hysterically.

Orchidpaw couldn't help but laugh at her sisters imitation of their father. She got to her paws coming over to Cherrykit with a big smile on her maw she smiled"I'm sure he didn't look exactly like that but that was funny"she purred happily

Cherrykit's rabid laughing began to calm into bouts of light giggles as her sister trotted over to her, the smile apparent on her face making the starry she-kit happy as could be.  Yet she knew, that this could not last forever...  Purring, she batted a few times at Orchidpaw's chin before rolling back up onto her feet, pale hazel eyes suddenly serious.  For a moment the little calico gazed past her sister into the distance, as if she could see something behind her than no one else could.  "Leopardclaw is waiting for you back home Orchidpaw, and the night is beginning to fade."  As if her words called it into attention, the tiny kit's body began to waver and dim, her pelt misting to accentuate the dotting of stars within her form.  Though her eyes were sad, a smile persevered on her face as she gazed up at her dearly beloved sister, her voice holding strange tones of wisdom.  "Please, remember what I said!  You mean more to Leopardclaw and Lichenfang than you could ever comprehend; they need your love and support just as much as you need theirs."  For a moment her eyes grew dark, haunted memories floating in her mind's eye as she spoke lowly."Though that evil tom and the fire took me from the world, I will always be with you, my family, and ThunderClan.  Until it's time for you to join StarClan alongside me, I will love you and guide you, always."  With her familiar bright smile, Cherrykit waved her tail happily as her form melted into the silver-tinged background, and Orchidpaw's vision began to fade to black, as her consciousness left StarClan's territory and returned back to the present, the real, where those that remained waited.

Orchidpaw let out a happy rumbling purr as he sister batted her chin lightly. She was about to gently bat her back but her paw froze midair hearing her sisters words and she blinked giving a very small nod before her vion completely went black and she woke up with a small start. Her bright blue eyes opened and she slowly got up to her paws stretching out her sore muscles for a moment.
