Blizzardstar didn’t know why she came back here so soon. It hadn’t been too long since the gathering that nearly took her away from her clan and caused the Dark Forest to take over for a second time. The thought as more than enough to cause her to shiver slightly, the times that she was forced to live under the Dark Forest’s reign still were the most common scenarios that assaulted her nightmares even after all these moons. She was so glad to know that Smokefang’s plains were crushed by the rest of the clans while she had been gone.

With a deep breath she looked up at the skies, true, it wasn’t nighttime, so she couldn’t see the stars yet. However, she still felt like StarClan was looking at her.

Not everything was joy and relief for the white fluffy leader though. She heard from her clanmates that while she was weakened on the ground, trying to not faint, that Stoneteller had been chased out from the clearing and, according to what she had been told, she was one of the factors of such action. She had done her best to not be aggressive and give the benefit of the doubt to the tribe healer, to stay impartial. She apparently had failed it and instead had caused him to feel attacked instead, unwanted.

And she felt awful for it.

He wanted to come back one more time. The last time that Stoneteller had seen this place was when he was run out for something he had no control over. He didn't hate the clans for it. They had every reason to be mad at both him and the tribe. After hearing the news about who was behind the clans' struggles, the Healer couldn't help but feel associative guilt for the actions of his tribe mate. How could she have done such a terrible thing? He knew that after everything that had occurred, the tribe would not be able to stay. He would lead them back home soon, but for now, they were going to rest up and pray that their troubles were over.

As he padded into the clearing, the Healer let out a sigh. Hopefully seeing this place as peaceful as it was supposed to be would calm his nerves. However, his eyes quickly landed on the Thunderclan leader. Immediately, his body tensed, but he forced himself to stay calm. At the time everything had gone down, she was one of the few that had any kind of voice of reason. "Gr-..." As he spoke, he stopped himself as his voice barely came out. Clearing his throat to fix both his voice and his confidence, he tried again. "Greetings," He mewed.

Blizzardstar’s ears raised as soon as she heard another voice in the clearing, pulling her away from her sea of thoughts. Her first reaction was that of alert and a pinch of curiosity, feeling slightly ashamed of being taken off-guard, as a leader, she more than anyone should know about keeping her guard up at all times, especially when not in her clan’s territory. However, such emotions soon morphed into surprise and a good deal of embarrassment when she recognized Stoneteller.

“Greetings, Stoneteller” Her meow was polite yet somewhat low, even with her best efforts she wasn’t successful on hiding her shame in her words “It’s good to see you around...I…uh…hope everything is…going well?” She stumbled all over her own words as she tried to come up with a way to start a conversation, not make the moment as awkward as it could potentially be, but with her troubled minds she suspected she had only made things way more awkward now.

“I…what I mean is…about what happened in the gathering…I’m sorry” The white leader lowered her head after finally managing to give the apology that had been a painful weight on her chest “It was not my intention to turn cats against you, nor your tribemates…I know very well that the actions of a few should not determine a clan, or a tribe, as a whole, but no everyone sees thing that way…this was a huge mess and even bigger misunderstanding”.
