The Soot that watched the Jay's Frost

The small bundle of grey blue tabbied fur mixed with the ginger and white started to stir awake. She was inside a nice comfortable nest of sorts or that was what Frost wanted to think. She wasn't sure what she was laying in. Lifting her small fluffy head her gaze looked to Soot. Whom she had considered her father since she had no memory of one. Though also considering she had very little memories of her mother she still remembered what little she remembered. Bouncing to her paws she went over to Soot "can we go outside today?"She asked eagerly. Re small kitten despite taking shelter with soot in the twoleg den didn't have a collar. Because one reason being she was too small for one still.

She blinked and stretched a bit smiling"nope can we go please"She squeaked fluffy tail flicking about. She was eager to go outside but then her belly grumbled and she paused.

She felt his tongue lick her ear a couple times and a small purr left her throat before she looked up at him."Yeah sounds good"she mewed.

Frost blinked and quietly watched him leave before her gaze wandered for a moment. That was until he came back and said that there was no food in the dish and she flattened her ears for a moment hungry but it wasn't roo bad she looked to Soot as he said he could try and catch her a snack"ok"she mewed brightening up a bit. She followed him to the flap where she pawed at it for a moment. Finally she figured out how to get through it as she pushed her small body through but her hindlegs go stuck as the flap closed on it. She gave a squeak of alarm and pulled at her hind legs til they were free and relaxed a bit "I don't like that thing"She mewed before catching up to Soot.

Frost blinked for a moment and got to her paws shaking her pelt out a bit before she flattened her ears for a moment"I don't think I'll ever get used to it"She mewed before following after him. She saw him ran across the thunderpath and quickly she followed after staying close to his side.

Frost blinked curiously her sparkling as she caught what seemed like a different meaning in his words"you mean past the big barrier thing in those woods?"She asked ears pricked. She had picked up a different meaning and that's where she was confused. She had often tried to climbed yo see out the see through object in the twoleg den seeing the green if the trees and was always drawn to it.

She blinked and nodded quietly"why don't we ever go past the barrier thing ?"She asked glancing to him. She then was quiet"I'm fine with either but...what if there's no food at home?"She asked.

"Alright "Frost mewed flicking her grey tabbied and ginger tail smiling some she made her way over following quickly after.
