Maplekit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats of Skyclan old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the tallbranch for a clan meeting!" Rippedsky's yowl rang through the clearing. His claws scored the tallbranch once more. There had been a lot of ceremonies lately, something he was grateful for. The deputy's blue eyes scanned the clearing as he waited for the clan to assemble.

The tortie and white she cat heard the call and smiled a bit. Her mother,Bubblemist,had groomed her fur and she grinned scampering from the nursery and said down wrapping her white tail around her paws.

"Maplekit, please step forwards." Rippedsky called as soon as the kit joined the crowd. It was finally time to have her officially join the rank of apprentice. This ceremony was for yet another one of Bubblemist's kits. A soft smile wormed its way onto his maw. As soon as Maplekit padded forwards, the deputy continued, "We gather once more to name another young cat as one of the clan's apprentices. Maplepaw is old enough to begin training. From this day forwards, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Maplepaw. Pineheart will be your mentor." The former rogue had really turned her life around since joining Skyclan. She had become a great warrior and he knew it was finally time to trust her with the training of one of Skyclan's young. As soon as the ceremony was over, he leaped down to congratulate them both.

The new names Maplepaw smiled and looked to her mentor eager to begin. Her white tail flicked about eagerly.
