Silkkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardstar climbed the Jaggedrock again, tail swishing behind him. He looked out over the camp and called the summons. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey join here beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Silkkit poked his head out of the nursery. His first instinct was to look for Daypaw. He hated how much time they spent apart now that the tom had been apprenticed. All those other cats surrounding him. His ears quivered as he saw what reminded him of the brown-russet tabby's pelt and he darted in the direction, pushing throught cats carelessly. He stopped as his path was blocked again by more bodies. The tom's pelt burnt with fury, but he shook his head tried to calm his merve, looking up at the leader.

Leopardstar spotted the kit standing by and began the ceremony. "Silkkit, step forward." He meowed, looking over the crowd. "You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to begin training. From this moment until you receive your warrior name, you shall be called Silkpaw. Hazeflight will be your mentor. I know she will train you well." He finished, nodding to the silver warrior.
