| Oakkit bounded from the nursery, her usual shy demeanor long gone. She was becoming an apprentice today; why wouldn't she be excited? | Leopardstar spotted the kit standing by and began the ceremony. "Oakkit, step forward." He meowed, looking over the crowd. "You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to begin training. From this moment until you receive your warrior name, you shall be called Oakpaw. Ryeheart will be your mentor. I know he will train you well." Ryeheart stood up from his spot at the front of the crowd, his icy greenish-blue eyes glowing with barely-suppressed excitement. With a purr, the pale ginger tabby greeted his second apprentice and touched noses with the young she-cat, beaming. "You'll do great Oakpaw, I can't want to start training!" His elated tone almost matched that of an excited newly-named apprentice, and it was clear that he was probably looking forward to this as much as she was. ______________________________________ |
