Wildkit and Lilackit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardstar climbed the Jaggedrock when the moon had reached full height in the night sky and called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey join here beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Lilackit stepped out of the nursery, wondering what this was all about. Hopefully nothing bad had happened, but what if it had? She tried to shake that thought and just watch from outside the nursery.

Wildkit followed Lilackit, her curiosity spiked.

Leopardfang looked at the pair of kits, amused. "Wildkit, Lilackit, step forward. You have reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to begin your training. From this day forward, you will be known as Wildpaw and Lilacpaw. Wildpaw, Copperfang will be your mentor. I trust she will teach you loyalty and honor. Lilacpaw, Cobrafang will be your mentor. I hope you will learn patience and trust from him." He said and finished the ceremony.

Rowantalon purred. His daughters were on their way to warriorhood.

The small tom blinked his green eyes looking up at his father as he heard his name. An apprentice already. Was Cobrafang ready for one so soon. If his father,Leopardstar,thought so then he had to trust in him. Standing slowly Cobrafang made his way over to Lilacpaw,his new and first apprentice. Having no need to bend his head down because of his smallness the tom touched noses with lilacpaw "training starts tommorrow"he mewed.

The newly named Lilacpaw nodded, and realized she was shaking - not with fear, for once, but excitement for all the new experiences that being an apprentice would bring.

Copperfang smiled and touched noses with Wildpaw.

Wildpaw could feel her heart pumping in her chest. She was on her way to being the best warrior in the forest!
