Darkpaw's Battle Training

It was the day after Darkpaw and Snakeblaze went hunting. He poked his head into the apprentice den. "Darkpaw, we're doing battle training today." he said. He went to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a frog, and ate it. He sat and waited for his apprentice.

Darkpaw, yawned at Snakeblaze's call, she stand up and walked out of the den, the black she, gave a nod to Snakeblaze and sat down to wait for him to go to the battle place, her tail was wagging with happiness.

Snakeblaze went into the training grounds. He turned to his apprentice. "First, let's do the basic moves, then move upward." he said. "First is the Front Paw Blow and the Front Paw Strike. Blow is swiping a paw with claws sheathed, while Strike is unsheathed, like this." he instructed. He swiped the air with one paw as if there was an invisible cat he was fighting was there, then quickly followed up with another paw with claws unsheathed.

Darkpaw nodded at the Shadowclan warrior and,  then she raised her black paw and swipe the air with sheathed claws,  like Snakeblaze did,  then she swiped the air again fiercely with her claws unsheathed.

After that Darkpaw,  looked at her mentor "How I did it?  She asked,  her tail lashing side to side.

Snakeblaze nodded. "That was very good. Just work on putting more force into the blow and less into the strike." he said. They were ready to move on to the next two. "Now, the belly rake and leap and hold. Belly rake is where you get on a knocked over enemy and rake their belly with your hind claws. Leap and hold is similar, except their pinned down and you rake their back." he said.

Darkpaw nodded at the Shadowclan warrior and then, she crouched then, and, with a fast leap she pinned down Snakeblaze, she then, got up and got off him, her eyes shining.
