Sunkit and Firekit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a clan meeting!" Fishstar shouted over the warm, Greenleaf breeze.

Sunkit quickly left nursery and went near the big group of RiverClan cats. Another ceremony was going to be held and Sunkit was eager to know which kit or apprentice would gain higher rank.

Ashpaw walked into camp, quite hungry ant tired from patrol. But as soon as she saw Fishstar on the rock, her face lit up. More kits were becoming apprentices, maybe it would be someone she knew...

Firekit was right by the willow branch when he heard Fishstar shout,"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a clan meeting!" Firekit wondered which cats would become apprenticed as he walked to the willow branch.

"It has come to our attention that there are two young kits ready to undertake their responsibilities as apprentices of RiverClan. Sunkit, Firekit, please step forward." Ivyfall called out from where she stood underneath Fishstar's place on the willow branch.

Sunkit proudly steped forward trying to be calm and serious. This was one of the first most important events in his clan life.

"You have reached the age of six moons, and are now ready to be apprenticed. From this day forth, until you become a warrior, you shall be known as Sunpaw. Your mentor will be me, therefore I expect you to work hard and learn all you can." Ivyfall proclaimed before approaching her apprentice to touch noses.

Sunpaw proudly touched his nose with RiverClan deputy. He was surprised for getting so important mentor, which would become even a leader in the future.
