Willowpaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting," Fishstar called from her perch above the camp.

Willowpaw padded out of the apprentices den at Fishstar's familiar call and settled herself in front of the Willow Branch, a hopeful glint in her deep blue gaze, so much familiar to the one of Willowbreeze's it was uncanny. Glancing around as others gathered, she attempted to groom her fur in hopes to tame it.

There hadn't been a warrior ceremony in some time. The territory's burnt state had made it a little bit difficult to train all of the apprentices at once, so it wasn't much of a surprise that it was taking so long. "Willlowpaw, please step forward."

Willowpaws eyes shines brightly in happiness as she approached her leader with a step forward.

"I, Fishstar, leader of RiverClan," she began, "call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in turn. Willowpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Willowpaw nodded eyes locking with Fishstar's with an intense look of honesty, "I do." she meowed clearly, head held high.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Willowpaw, from this day forth, you shall be known as Willowpetal. RiverClan honours your grace and dedication." Fishstar leapt down from the willow branch and gave the new warrior a congratulatory nod.
