Nostalgia Trip [semi-open]

The territory was just as she remembered it so long ago. It had been ages since she was last here. So much had changed. So many lives had come and gone as she watched patiently. Sagestar, Nightstar, even Thrushstar who just didn't seem to die. Shadowsong had been there for every moment. While she loved her life in Starclan, there was just something about keeping up with everything in the living world. Now, Shadowsong just wanted to stroll through and see what had changed in the territory for dreams. Cats flittered by as she idly padded through, a look of pure contentment on her face, even lightening her icy blue eyes and blaring scar over her left eye. Soon, however, the former Shadowclan leader stopped and sat down, curling her tail around her paws as she sighed. "It's good to be here again," she purred.

Wildstar had been contently watching his beloved clan, even through the craziness that seemed to ensue. His favorite bit was when Falconstar just wouldn't die. But lately he was tired of all the drama and decided to visit the Dream Territory. He hadn't been there in ages. He thought back to the last time he had visited the place and found that it was when he was still an apprentice, he was pretty sure. It seemed he wasn't the only member of StarClan here either. A vaguely familiar cat was lying nearby. He remembered seeing her at gatherings while they were both still alive. "Shadowstar?" he asked, hopefully getting her name right. "Is that you?"

Even in StarClan, his fur was a complete mess - barely kept in check to not become a matted mess. His icy blue eyes held a coldness to them, with traces of warmth hidden deep within as he strolled toward retired leader he knew rather well, having been leaders at the same time even if he had cared little for the other Clans during his reign as leader. After all, he had to keep his focus on WindClan and leave the other Clans to sort out their own problems but that view on things had more or less disappeared since he had finally joined StarClan. He wasn't far off when another form strolled up to the relaxing leader, his ears perking at the familiar pelt of Wildstar, the second leader before he had taken up the mantle and had even given him the life of Justice. His pace hurried toward the two, the coldness in his eyes quickly melting at the sight of one of his own Clanmates even if he had never properly known the leader in life. "Shadowsong! Wildstar!" he greeted happily, recalling Shadowsong's retirement before her death.

At the sound of her name, the she-cat glanced up, searching for the one who called out to her. It had been so long since she had been called Shadowstar. It was almost exhilarating. However, when she finally noticed the former Windclan leader, her gaze softened and her body relaxed. "Ah, Wildstar. It's been so long! I see you're doing well, even though you only showed up to a few gatherings," she mewed, lightly picking on the tom for his inactivity sickness. "And it's Shadowsong, actually. I retired from leadership many seasons ago before I died. Being leader was just... too much to handle in my old age." She wasn't going to let anything ruin her good mood. Not yet, at least.

However, it was the second voice that she perked up at. Turning her attention to the other cat calling her name, she could only purr as she saw the next Windclan leader. "Stormstar! It is good to see you too! It is good to know that I'm not alone from those old times." Standing up to greet the two former Windclan leaders, Shadowsong shifted so that she was facing the both of them. "Have either of you been keeping up with the clans now, by chance?" she asked, not quite knowing what else to talk about with them. She had never actually taken the time to talk to them, even during their time as leader. They were acquainted, but nothing more. At least the present times were something they could converse about.

Wildstar nodded as Shadowsong spoke, listening. He turned his head when Stormstar approached. "Stormstar!" he greeted cheerfully. Then Shadowsong spoke up again, asking the two WindClan leaders if they had been keeping up. The orange tom nodded again. "I have. Frankly, I miss the old days. Back when we were alive. Things seemed so simple back then. Now, everything's too complicated," he responded, sighing. "There's too much drama and needless conflict anymore. Even more than when we were alive."

As Shadowsong questioned if they were keeping up on the politics of the current Clans and Wildstar gave his answer, Stormstar almost gave a snort at that as his eyes glimmered. "I have to agree with you there Wildstar," he chuckled lightly as he turned his attention to the leader with a swish of his tail. "They worry over the smallest things - if another Clan has done them wrong they feel the need to lash out in return. They should be more focus on bigger problems then their conflicts with another." He paused almost thoughtfully as he gave a shrug of his shoulders. "I frankly never cared much for the other Clans. Keeping WindClan safe was always my main priority but even I think all that the drama that is being stirred up is...Tiring. Not that there isn't some good cats down there- I rather like Ashstar for example. Good head on her shoulder despite all that she has had to deal with, keeping WindClan strong" he said with a slight purr.

A pale she-cat padded forth looking for someone in particular or rather seemed to be. Her blue eyes scanned the area before spotting the group of cats that had gathered to talk. One of them her former leader, the other her brother and someone she didn't really know, or couldn't remember to well.

Dawnlight let out a small purr as she was glad even in their old age in Starclan they still had time to meet each other and talk. The former Shadowclan medicine cat padded up to the group. "Greetings." She said to the gathered cats. "What conversation brings us together this time?" She asked wanting to be apart of it. The medicine cat couldn't help but wonder if others would be joining them soon. They seemed to be finding each other pretty easily.

A dark shaped leaped up onto a smooth slab of stone, flicking the mud off her paws and letting out a long yawn. "Greetings," she meowed with a quick flick of her tail. Curious eyes washed over the others, warm shades of yellow and green. "Are we talking of the young ones in the forest?" The calico blinked slowly, peering over into a calm puddle, a peek of ShadowClan's camp gleaming through the reflection. "There's plenty of good cats, but I'd say they're more..." She frowned. "Self-centered." Her eldest daughter prowled in the dark territories outside StarClan, lost, but she would have done far more well in this life than their own old ones.

As more cats gathered, Shadowsong glanced up at them, gladly welcoming the two Shadowclan medicine cats. "I'd say there's plenty to talk about when it comes to these present times. They definitely focus on themselves. I've also noticed a lot of... uptight behavior. Back in our day, an apprentice got maimed and it was their own fault for being dumb. Now, it starts a war..." the old she-cat muttered. "Makes me glad I'm only supervising."
