Clumped Shadows [Closed - Hunting Patrol]

Larksong sat content outside of the warrior's den, her eyes closed as she listened to the faint chirping of the creatures of the night. It was relaxing, taking a small break from the Clan lifestyle - not that she would trade her life for anything else in the world. She had her time of relaxation as a kittypet...And she had hated every moment of that. While the small break like this every once in a while was welcoming, she knew that she needed the freedom of hunting and caring for her Clanmates then that stuffy life of being pampered and tame. Her tail twitched and curled, taking a deep breath as she drank in the wild scents of the ShadowClan territory. This was where she belonged.

"Hey Larksong?" Smokestripe peered from where he stood near the fresh-kill pile, his tail swishing as he moved over to the older she-cat. He could tell that Larksong was relaxing but wasn't sure why...And while he hated to bother her, he spared a small glance at the fresh-kill pile. "Do you want to go hunting? The prey is going to be getting a bit low when everybody wakes up and takes their share," he noted as he turned his gaze back onto the she-cat who had opened up one of her amber eyes to stare at him with a curious look.

The she-cat leaned to the side, glancing over Smokestripe's shoulder to see the state of the fresh-kill pile. It was rather well-stocked, she doubted it would be getting that low but...Well, who was she to turn down a chance to stretch out her paws and feed her Clan? She pulled herself to her paws with a sharp nod of her head, giving Smokestripe a glimmering gaze. "Why not?" she said with a faint shrug of her shoulders, brushing past the tom as she headed for the entrance.

"Should we see if anybody else wants to join?" Smokestripe called after her as he hurried to catch up, slowing down his pace as they moved toward the entrance. When Larksong peered over her shoulder at him, he returned her gaze with a sheepish look. "I mean, I don't mind hunting with just you but we can get more prey if anybody else wants to join. And its going to be a while before Magpiewing sends out the proper hunting patrols so..."

Larksong came to a stop, turning to face the tom before slumping to the ground with the faintest hints of a smile on her muzzle. "You do make a fair point, Smokestripe. Alright, we'll wait but only for a short while. Don't want to be waiting too long or all the prey will have fallen asleep waiting for us to move our rumps," she noted but her tone was light and teasing as the younger warrior took a seat next to her as they waited for somebody to approach them.

Echopaw was stargazing outside of the apprentice den. Stargazing has become her favorite past time over the past few weeks, it makes her calm down from everything and think about her day. But she couldn't help but over hear the conversation the two warriors had near the entrance. At the thought of going on a patrol she immediately got to her paws and padded over to them. "Can I come on this patrol?" She loved going out of camp more then stargazing.

OOC:I have been wanting Echo to be taken by the Mist so maybe if you want can she be taken now? If not we can just do a normal patrol then..whatever you want.

It hadn't been long since he had been made an apprentice, but Redpaw was ready for the wonders it would bring. He had been told that he could now go out of camp and starting training as a Shadowclan warrior now that he was of age, and the thought made him excited. Getting up with a start as soon as the sun went down, the young tom padded into the clearing of the camp to see if he could be trained today. He hadn't done anything yet, but he figured today would be a good day to start. It was only when he overheard Echopaw asking about a patrol did Redpaw perk up. A patrol? That's what he wanted to do! Padding over to where the she-cat was asking the two older warriors, Redpaw looking up at them quizzically. "May I come along as well?" He asked. "I haven't trained at all. I want to learn." It was a simple statement. Nothing too fancy to it. Pretty normal for little Redpaw.

Larksong's eyes lit up t he moment she saw Echopaw strolling toward her, always happy to get to know the young apprentices of ShadowClan. She dipped her head in greetings as the apprentice spoke up, her eyes bright. "Of course!" she purred as her tail swished, pausing as Redpaw came up and questioned if he could as well. "Sure Redpaw," she said as she got to her paws, stretching them out slightly. "We are planning to do a hunting patrol. Smokestripe and I would be happy to teach you both the basics of it."

Smokestripe only bobbed his head to that, happy to see the apprentices excited to leave the camp. Hunting was always a joy but teaching the apprentices how to hunt? That had to be one of his favorite things as he got to his paws as well, speaking up as Larksong finished talking. "Come along you two, I know the perfect spot to hunt," he purred as he turned and led the older warrior and the two young apprentices into the territory, heading straight for his favorite hunting spot.
