A kit just in! (OPEN TOPIC)

Dappledkit rushed happily out of the nursery, breathing in the strong forest scents. It was her first day out of the nursery! Shadowclan's camp was much better than that damp old den. For a few minutes she just stood a few tail-lengths away from the nursery, taking in the sights and things to do. Then, her little paws carried her over to the fresh-kill pile, and then the warrior's den, and then the elder's den. Her paws were soaked in mud and grime, and her puffy calico pelt had blades of grass buried in it. Her bright yellow eyes glistened with happiness and excitement. Dappledkit soon became bored of looking at stacks of dead mice, though, and started searching for a kit to play with. "Is anyone here a kit?" she groaned, straining the 'anyone'.

Echopaw sat outside of the apprentice den fast asleep after going on a patrol early that morning then eating her morning meal of mice. Asleep in the shade she heard a voice near her that sounded like a kit her ears flicked as her eyes opened. Trying to make out the voice her blurry vision laid eyes on a calico cat. She stretched yawning loudly and blinked away sleep she stood up padding over to the kit, "Well I am not a kit but will I do?" Knowing kits if somebody does not play with her then the kit will make enough noise to make Echopaw play with her anyways. What was the harm of a little fun anyways?

Dappledkit quickly turned her head to find the replier when an older, tired looking black and white she-cat sat in front of her. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" she squealed with joy, hopping about like a rabbit. This cat was an apprentice, just like her ! Maybe she would teach her battle moves! "She must be really strong!" Dappledkit thought. "What do you wanna play?" she questioned excitedly. "You can choose, because you're older and know all the best games." She started shredding up a leaf with her little claws, impatient.

Echopaw just looked on as the kit bounced around in excitement with a smile. This kit remembered her of when she was a kit playing with Roaringpaw and Duskpaw. But that time was gone now. How things has changed. She looked over to the medicine cat den and signed deeply trying to get the depressing thoughts away. Purring at the kit she sat down thinking of what to play with this kit, "Well, what do you want to play?" She chuckled, "Well small one, I really don`t know a lot of games my siblings and I were more of an explorer then playing games."
