Batting High, At The Blue Blue Sky

The apprentice watched his mentor learning all he could do about hunting moves. When he returned with the vole, Batpaw was ready to give it a try. The dark tom walked near to the water and smelled the air searching for the scent of the water rodents. His eyes glanced the little body of a vole that was walking a few steps away. The apprentice lowered his body trying to not showing his body to the animal and stepped slowly to catch the prey. When he was close enough, he jumped quick and his paws reached the water vole. However, the scared albañil escaped from his claws and ran away from him.

OCC: This is my first time using the system as new member, so I hope that I'm using it well.

Smokeface watching the roddent scurry away from Batpaw, leaving the small tom empty-clawed. The smoky warrior got up from his sopt and walked up to his apprentice. First, he needed to show him what he had done wrong, or Batpaw wouldn't ever learn properly. "Alright, Batpaw. It's mportant you don't crouch too low, and never let your tail trail on the forest floor. Ballance evenly on all four paws, and you just might succeed." he instructed Batpaw, crouching to demonstrate. The smoky warrior had been doing it for his whole life and he dropped smoothly on all of his four paws. Once he was sure Batpaw had observed every aspect of a good crouch, the mentor cleared the space for Batpaw to try and track another water vole.

Batpaw's eyes narrowed as he saw his mentor teaching the right posture for hunting. He was trying to learn everything he could but at the same time, anger and frustration grew on him like a fire. How pathetic am I? How can't I even catch a vole? I will not be known as a weak cat that can't hunt! I must become better and better to be a warrior. Now... I'm just useless.
The younger tom nodded to Smokeface. "Okay, thank you Smokeface. I will try to do it again" He meowed seriously before he started to search for another rodent.
His nose soon found the scent of the animal and Batpaw remembered the words of the gray warrior. He balanced his body with a few difficulties because he wasn't suited to have his tail in the air when he was hunting and lowered his body as Smokeface told: not too low but not too high.
Batpaw stepped closer to the smell of the mouse that was behind a few rocks and prepared his hind legs, like in his first try, to jump and fell on the rodent. But the little animal heard his steps and ran before his paws could reach it.
