Happy because of first kill she continued. Sniffing and trying to recognize voices around her, she walked towards the woods nearer to the path on which monsters were usually coming. She saw a blackbird again. It was some metres from the path standing on the floor and eating something from the grass. But before she could did anything, monster came near the and scared a bird. Another miss.

So many misses and so few prey. Poor apprentice was having no luck. She found out another bird, which escaped after it saw Emberpaw´s paws. Another miss.

Emberpaw was sad. After ten minutes she found something again, but it was not a squirell or a bird. It was lizard, and she knew that she could catch it, but Blazeflight ordered her to catch two squirell and one bird of her choice. She leaved soft lizard.

Hoping that luck will visited her again she continued. This time she thanked to the StarClan. It was a squirell on the tree. She slowly climbed up and jumped ont the squirell which fell down the tree. Squirell hit so much the ground so it could not move anymore. Emberpaw smiled and killed second piece of prey. Only one left to go.

Apprentice continue and looked only on the trees, where the possible second squirell would be hiding. But she found only a death squirell on the floor, which was killed probably by a badger. She knew that if she would picked up this piece of prey, this would be a cheating. So she leaved it.

Sun was not so high anymore and Embepaw was begging to thought about a warm camp and very good apprentice den. But then she heard something. When she came closer she discovered that it is another lizard and not a squirell.
Emberpaw Calico´s cat running was becoming slower with every minute that past away from the last miss. She always thought that having an assessment is fun and full of experiences. But for the Emberpaw assessment became something horrible and full of misses. It seems almost like almost all wood creatures became scared of something. Maybe of her?
Emberpaw Her thinking was disturbed by another bird, which slowly recognized a cat. But it was not too slow and blackbird managed to escape when Emberpaw bowed for a little and prepared for a jump.
