Beetleoaw nosed to air in the clearing, giving himselfthe clear to e ter the Fourtrees glade in safeyt. The medicine cat apprentice squinted as the light reflected in the snow, making it glow beautifully in his eyes. He snuck through the snow, leaving his small pawsteos behind where his feet sunk slightly in the white powder. Again, he glanced around before he noted what he was looking for, a small clump of celandine. Hesitating as he noticdd it bounded by the strong smel, of ThunderClan, in the end the medicine cat apprentice slipped quietly over his bounds, not protected by the Gathering truce, but rather intruding. He began on chewing down the root, but as heheard a rustle in the bush, he leapt up, he tail high and his back arched. He eyes glowered at the intruder, a muscular ThunderClanner.

A large brown tom burst out of the bushes, his muzzle wrinkled in a snarl. His patrol had just turned interesting as soon as the strong wafting scent of WindClan his his nose. He had glanced up from behind a bush to see a young apprentice stepping into his borders at that moment. Without hesitation, the warrior jumped forward, his claws and teeth bared.

The apprentice, a tom, had been chewing on some sort of root as Bramblefrost approached. Coming to a abrupt stop right in front of the WindClan cat, he rose to his full height and fluffed out his fur. The smell of herbs hit his nose. A loud growl grew in his throat. He had been prepared to give this trespasser a wound they wouldn't forget, but he didn't dare think about attacking a medicine cat. What would his mother think? Their clan's reputation would be ruined.

"What are you doing?" he hissed, his green eyes livid.

Beetlepaw sqiunted as the large brown tabby leapt out of the bushes, backing of a few steps without losing the warrior from his piercing yellow gaze. He does have some pretty yellow eyes... he remarked, almosthit with a sense of fury. His fur is like Yarrowkit's used to be... he thought again, but shookhis head furiously. Those thoughts had no place in his mind, so why was he thinking about those kind of things? The medicine cat fixed the tom with the piercing glare they shared, hissing. He was a smaller and weaker type of cat, but a medicine cat was as much as any other Clan cat. He wouldn't give in to a cocky warrior.

"I was gathering herbs for my Clan, what do you think? Mousebrain..." he added in a mutter, wishing to defy the warroir. But something kept him in his place, a sort of creeping fear that carefully froze his limbs so he would not do anything stupid. He flexed his claws in frustration. If only he had agreed to take a warrior with him... "Let me get on with my duties, brute." he hissed, almost a whisper through his gritted teeth.

This tom knew how to ruffle the warrior's feathers. His eyes narrowed and his muzzle twitched as he held back his growing annoyance. With a stern face, he took a warning step towards the medicine cat.

"Duties or not, I cannot allow you to steal my clan's herbs. You may be protected right now, but don't think I won't hesitate if I catch you again, trespasser." Bramblefrost felt himself hesitate as he stared into the apprentice's eyes. A sense of nostalgia and familiarity hit him rather suddenly, further increasing the furrow in his face.

Shaking the strange feelings away, the tabby huffed and puffed out his white chest. "What possessed you to think you could enter another clan's territory?"
