| "Let all cats old enough to gather their own prey gather beneath Tallrock for a clan meeting!" the grey and white deputy meowed as he jumped up to the rock. Today, one of his youngest daughters would become a warrior and he was so proud of her. Though younger than most of his other kits, he still had confidence that she'd become a great warrior.

| Seeing the clan gather, Smokepelt decided to start. "Gustpaw, please step forward." Once she did, he continued. "I, Smokepelt, deputy of WindClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She's trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in return. Gustpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" the tom asked, looking down to his daughter with a soft smile.

Ryepaw looked up to the tallrock and then to his sister who looked like she was about to jump out of her pelt from eagerness. They're so lucky, I wonder when I'll get to become a warrior, he wondered to himself. Although still a bit weak and slower than other cats, he had been growing in size and was curious as to why he hadn't gotten his ceremony yet, when both of his sisters had. Maybe Ashstar had a good reason, he tried to reassure himself.

"I do." Those words would be her last as an apprentice, and she was happy that they were. She would strive to be the best warrior she could, and hoped that she could possibly get an apprentice of her own soon.

| "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Gustpaw, you will be known as Gustpuddle. StarClan honors your loyalty, determination, spirit, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan." With that, the tom jumped down from the Tallrock and padded over to his daughter, giving her a quick lick on the forehead. Looking down her with a smile, he gave a small dip of his head towards the newly named warrior and then stepped back so that the rest of the clan could greet her, listening as they chanted her name.

"Gustpuddle! Gustpuddle!" Ryepaw chanted with the clan, proud of his sister for gaining her warrior name. Although her and Quailpaw were only moments younger than him, he'd always felt like the little brother, and now that he thought about it, he liked it that way. |
