L.E.A.F.B.A.R.E

Night was starving. Prey is scarce at Twolegplace, but in Leafbare? It is the snowy dark forest in leafbare. He wasn't surprised he found his loner-self in ThunderClan territory. Anyone would think he was hunting, but he had a different idea. He patiently waited for some apprentice to appear. He didn't want to run into any warriors, they'd toss him around like a moss ball in an instant. He laid in a patch of tall grass. The sweet scent from the grass masked his. He continued to wait for someone to walk by.

Markedpaw had been out late, unable to sleep from the cold. Her nest was right by the door to the apprentices den, and leafbare made a cold breeze drift in whenever she tried to get comfortable. Raising her muzzle to the air she took a deep breath, trying to scent any prey. Nothing yet. She'd not eaten today, all the prey went to the elders and queens as leafbare gripped the forest in it's cold paw, preventing prey from moving from it's burrows and nests. She sat for a moment, breathing in the chilling night air and flicking her tail. She thought she scented something, but couldn't be certain. Maybe a faint trace of a rogue? She couldn't tell. Casting her gaze towards the stars she thought
'If Starclan cared for us, they'd take away leafbare. So why don't they?' she sighed, exhausted. She wasn't prepared for the life of an apprentice, constantly training, and her bones ached from tiredness but also the need for prey.

Night smirked as Markedpaw walked by. The apprentice looked so beaten by the cold grasp of leafbare. If they think the season is tough, it's basking in the sun compared to leafbare as a rogue. He got up and stepped out. "You are being beaten by the season too?" he said.
