Nukit rolls into the world (Open to Riverclan)

Ivyfall looked on amused from where she was lounging in the shade, the deputy had been taking a short nap just out of the reach of snowflakes that constantly fell onto the clearing. She didn't mind the little distraction, with how cold the breeze was, she was hardly having a restful sleep, but nonetheless, she opened her jaws widely in a yawn before getting up to meet the new kit.

"Oh wise, Nutstar. Who should we send on the hunting patrol this evening?" She asked, tail flicking playfully behind her as she approached.

Nutkit grew hot with embarrassment. She hadn't planned on someone actually asking that question.
"Eh, uh, maybe some apprentices with their mentors? So they can get closer to becoming warriors!" Nutkit suggested.

"How many apprentices to warriors? A good leader judges how many warriors and apprentices we can spare with how low the freshkill pile is. We can't risk starvation, but leaving our borders undefended is equally dangerous." Though this was but a playful game, Ivyfall couldn't help turn it into a lesson of sorts, teaching the young kit essential lessons in clan life. Perhaps, one day, Nutkit would really become Nutstar. It never hurt to learn leadership young.

Nutkit nodded thoughtfully, taking in all of the information Ivyfall was giving her. Who knew that being leader could be so complicated?
"You're right. Maybe it should be more balanced out! Such as three warriors that go hunting and three warriors to patrol borders. Add a few apprentices and something like that might work," Nutkit reasoned, feeling proud to be learning this before she even became an apprentice.
