Jaypaw's Warrior Ceremony

Darkstar took a deep breath before clambering up onto her perch. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather under the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

Mottledwing strode out. I need a new apprentice! The molly thought lazily as she slunk into the clearing, sitting beneath the Highrock. She let out a stretch and a yawn. Jaypaw should be a warrior soon, too. She rested her chin on thin air as she watched the leader call a crowd to the shade of the majestic Highrock. Mottledwing wondered what it would be like to be a leader or deputy. Probably difficult. She blinked at Darkstar, perhaps impatiently. Most likely the contrary, though.

The blue gray tabby she cat heard the call and sat up slowly getting to her paws. Jaypaw smiled a bit and looked to Darkstar quietly. She had been laying just outside the apprentice den and at the call moved to a sitting position just briefly before joining the gathering crowd of cat that were her clanmates.

Mottledwing looked to her apprentice with a grin, beckoning her over. She wanted to be with her apprentice in the last moments that she had the title of 'Jaypaw'.

The she cat blinked looking to her mentor and aunt and notice her beckon her over. So the she cat stood and padded over sitting next to the Mottledwing

"I think this might be your ceremony," whispered Mottledwing, seeming happy. "Let's see," she continued, looking eagerly at Darkstar as she addressed the clan. She waited for more cats to gather around.

The leader's head raised. "Today we gather to make this apprentice a warrior. Jaypaw, please step forward." Once the apprentice had done so, she continued. "Jaypaw, do you promise to protect and serve this clan, and uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?"

Jaypaw at her name being called,she stood. She glanced to her mentor before she smiled some and padded forward looking to Darkstar. When she finished speaking she smiled"I do"she mewed proud and confidently.

Mottledwing smiled garishly, tail waving as she downed her doubts. Jaypaw would make an excellent warrior, she just knew it. She tucked her paws beneath her to try and hide her constantly growing excitement for the she-cat.

Jaypaw smiled some and waited.

Mottledwing nodded to Jaypaw to encourage her, as Darkstar prepared to announce formally her new, warrior title.

Ooc I'll tell them.

Jaypaw waited silently looking up at Darkstar. She waited eagerly but patiently for the name she would be given.

Darkstar gave a nod. "Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. Jaypaw, from now on you will be known as Jaysong. Strachan honors you for your strength and wit, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Thunderclan."

Jaysong smiled living her warrior name. She lifted her head a bit looking at Darkstar.
