Russet Ambers [closed]

Russetpaw sat by the apprentice den, grooming his ruddy brown fur. The sun was setting, painting the sky with streaks of rosey pink, firey orange, and dark purple. Sunsets were a personal favorite of Russetpaw's - he believed that they were pure beauty put in the sky by Starclan. As the tom finished licking dowm his sleek, short fur, he heard pawsteps near by and he looked up to see who it was. Amberpaw. She was the daughter of Russetpaw's mentor, Littlebrook. The young apprentice streightened up and smiled at her, his amber eyes bright and shining.

Amberpaw has just been padding back from going out on patrol minutes before. She looked to Russetpaw and padded over quietly.

"Hi, you're Amberpaw, right?" Russetpaw asked the black she-cat. He thought the ginger streak on her nose looked cool....it was unique, in his opinion. "I'm Russetpaw. I don't think we ever really met." His charming smile grew broader. Something about Amberpaw seemed different, and Russetpaw liked it.

Amberpaw smiled some her light amber eyes sparkling a bit."Yes I'm Amberpaw....its nice to meet you Russetpaw....I honestly don't think we have met yet but now is a good time more then ever""she mewed with a smile.

Russetpaw thought about Amberpaw's words for a moment. "I suppose so," he said. The tom turned his amber eyes back up to the sunset, and he purred softly. "The sky is beautiful, isn't it?"
