Quailkit, Gustkit, & Vulturekit's Apprentice Ceremony

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tallrock for a clan meeting!" the deputy yowled, leaping up to the rock. A lot had been going on lately and although he would've rather have not been standing in front of the clan after everything that had happened recently, he had a duty to uphold. He hated only appointing two of his kits but with Ryekit in such a condition, having the sick cat wait a little longer was for the best.

OOC: This is post the berry topics btw, so when I make the next berry topic in the camp, they will still be kits. Just reminding ya ><

Gustkit padded out of the nursery with a proud smile on his face, happy to see his father standing outside awaiting him.

Vulturekit hustled out of the nursery, her fluffy brown kitten fur still dragging on the ground. Long hair and a small body did not equal great conditions. Vulturekit settled herself right up front, a typical scowl on her face.

Redpaw moved toward the center of camp at the sound of the familiar call. Noting the group of kits, and spying her littermate among them, she realized they were about to become apprentices. She hadn't really been close to either one of her two siblings, but she hoped now that she and her sister would be apprentices together, perhaps they could grow closer. Their brother's ceremony shouldn't be before long either. The young she-cat watched with renewed interest.

Quailkit ran eagerly out of the nursery, gray fur ruffled from playing with Gustkit. This was it- her ceremony! Finally, she could prove herself! She would be the strongest in the Clan! She settled down, shifting restlessly from foot to foot, white paw blending into the snow. Wondering who would be her mentor, she gazed up at her father on the Tallrock, frosty blue eyes gull of barely contained excitement.

Seeing that enough of the clan had gathered, Smokepelt decided to continue. "Quailkit, Gustkit, Vulturekit, please step forward," he started. "You have all reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Quailpaw, Gustpaw, and Vulturepaw. Your mentors will be Mossfoot, Thistlefall, and I. I hope that we pass down all we know onto you," he finished, and jumped down from the rock to greet his new apprentice.

Vulturepaw stood. The deputy of WindClan would do. With a sigh, she touched noses with her mentor. He was so old and ugly.

Quailpaw grinned at the sound of her new name. She bounced over to her mentor, the former ThunderClan she-cat. She would be able to teach her moves that no one else could! "I'll be the best apprentice ever!" she grinned, touching her nose to Mossfoot's

Redpaw called to each of the cats by their new names in unison with the clan, chanting her sister's name a little louder at the end, "Quailpaw! Gustpaw! Vulturepaw!!"

Was Smokepelt already entrusting her with an apprentice? Mossfoot blinked in surprise, before touching noses with Quailpaw. "I'll try my best."
