Poplarpaw found himself wandering away from camp again. He wasn't sure how had managed to sneak away so easily for what? The third time now? He shook his pelt free of snow, not realizing he was smirking at his achievement. The older apprentice loved being able to go walk on his own, the serenity of the quite, snow-covered territory brought him peace, he wasn't really sure why apprentices weren't allowed outside of camp anyway, it was a foolish rule.

The tom soon found himself at the edge of Sunningrocks, and surprisingly it was empty, for the moment. He wove himself around the base of one of the smooth stones, keeping himself from jumping back in shock when he realized the leaf-bare sun hadn't warmed it yet.

Just then, a rustling sound caught in the apprentices ear, he spun around, hoping whatever made the noise was merely prey.

There was no prey to be found, only a Lion.

Lionspark was enjoying the luxury of being able to leave the camp on her own without having to worry about a kill-joy warrior or even Bramblefrost tagging along. The freedom to explore was hers as she had decided to visit Sunningrocks. She knew it was the spot often fought over and she couldn't wrap her mind around why RiverClan thought in the fish-brained minds that it was rightfully theirs. It was on ThunderClan's side of the river after all.

She was almost there when the fresh scent of RiverClan hit her - telling her that she wasn't alone. She wanted to growl softly, wondering why a RiverClan cat in their right mind would be on the rocks in the middle of leaf-bare, it was far to cold to be sunning and warming those beloved pelts of theirs. Lionspark stepped into the open and blinked when she saw there was a single cat - looking to be younger then her but not by much. She growled softly as she narrowed her eyes. "What are you doing here?" she hissed, almost forgetting that Sunningrocks was currently belonging to RiverClan.

Poplarpaw looked up, a little surprised at first, his fur standing on end as the scent of ThunderClan grew stronger. "What am I doing here?" He questioned, letting a smirk draw from the corners of his lips again, his fur relaxing. "Why, this is RiverClan territory is it not?"

The older apprentice backed away from the cool rock, sizing up the she-cat. He would be ready if this mouse-brain decided to act up, as far as he knew, she had no idea he was an apprentice, so technically, she was oblivious to fact of him breaking the rules by being here.

"It shouldn't be," Lionspark hissed as her fur fluffed up. The way he smirked upon saying that only riled her up more. You think she would have learned her lesson after that fight with that SkyClan apprentice all those moons ago but she couldn't stand this tom. "Sunningrocks is on our side of the river!"

"Yet somehow it's still ours?" Poplarpaw spat, sensing the irritation rising within the ThunderClan she-cat. He took a step back, but didn't cower. "If you flea-bags want it so bad how come it's so hard for you to take, huh?"

The tom regretted saying that, I should have kept my mouth shut. He thought.

For a second, Lionspark hissed but it quickly died down as she studied the tom. After she had lost to that SkyClan apprentice, Bramblefrost had been very angry. She had gotten her ears chewed off but she did have to admit something. He sure taught her how to fight. This apprentice wanted to brawl? She could show him how tough a ThunderClan cat could be. She opened her mouth to say something but simply ended up closing it with a smirk. She could put this tom in his plac easily.

She quickly dropped into a couch before she sprung forward, ramming the apprentice with a hiss with outstretched claws.

Lionspark used Run-and-Tackle on Poplarpaw. Dealing 8 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Poplarpaw hissed in surprise at the sudden movement, well not too sudden, he honestly saw this coming, he still cursed at himself for not thinking things ahead. The apprentice felt the wind knocked out of his as he hit the ground, grunting as so.

He glanced up, realizing the she's belly was exposed at this angle, and he quickly took his chance, slashing at her with unsheathed claws.

Poplarpaw used Belly rake, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Lionspark bit back a yowl as she felt the apprentice's claws slicing at her stomach and she knew she had to get off of him before he dealt more damage at her soft underbelly. She slashed at his face to give her time to jump off, quickly facing him as she waited for his next move.

Poplarpaw held back at hiss of pain at the feeling of her paw slamming into his muzzle, he closed his eyes and clenched his teeth, trying to prevent his head from slamming into the hard stone.

He reopened his eyes to glare at the ThunderClan cat, teeth still clenched. He quickly scampered to his paws, shaking his pelt free of the clinging snow. Then with a yowl, he bolted toward the she-cat, pushing all the strength he had left in him to shove her to the ground.

Poplarpaw used run and tackle, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Ah, the rush of battles. Lionspark hit the rocks hard but it wasn't enough to shake her from this fight. This RiverClanner had picked the wrong words to say and Lionspark was determined to win. He didn't look like he had much left in him and she felt she could end this fight easily. She sliced at him with her claws one more, trying to get him to back up so that she could get back on her paws.

Poplarpaw yelped at the sensation of more claws, falling backward into the smooth yet cold rocks.

"You win this time, ThunderClanner." He spat, "but the rocks are still ours." Then before the she-cat could get another hit at him, he shuffled to his paws and scurried back across the frozen river, trying hard to keep his balance on the ice.

Lionspark was surpised when the tom admitted defeat, having expected more out of him as she drew herself to her paws. Before she could say anything, he was already scurrying across the ice with his tail between his legs. Her gaze glanced around the rocks as she had to admit that the scuffle had done nothing - the rocks still did belong to RiverClan if she didn't want to admit it. It would take a whole patrol verses another one for them to reclaim what was rightfully theirs.

She sighed as she turned and hopped from the rocks back into her territory proper, wincing at the wounds. The tom had gotten her good and she knew she would have to see Dreamleaf to get them treated. She wasn't looking forward to getting chewed out again for getting into another fight but she was proud that victory was hers this time around. She spun and slipped into the undergrowth, a small smile of victory on her face.
