Shadewillow had always lingered near the Thunderpath since the moment he went from 'kit to 'paw as it had always been a place of fascination to him. On days when he felt particularly restless, he had always found himself drawn to the sticky black river- what in Starclan's name had ever possessed the Twolegs to build such a horrid, destructive path? Today was no different; after completing his mandatory duties, he had found himself drawn to the harsh, acidic path, the usual wave of curiosity filling him at the sight. Peering through the bushes, Shadewillow felt a flash of surprise emanate through him- there was a cat simply padding out onto the sticky surface, right in the path of a monster! "What is she doing?" He thought, tensing up and slipping out of the bushes slightly, eyes widening as the young, cream-colored she-cat seemingly froze in the harsh, glinting lights, "She'll be killed!" He quickly rushed forward towards the crumbling side of the road, eyes aching slightly from the harsh, gleaming lights of the Monster that was now bearing down upon the younger cat; if he didn't time this right then they'd both be killed by the massive, roaring creature.
Exploding forward in a massive leap that could easily put any Skyclan cat to shame, Shadewillow cleared a good portion of the Thunderpath in his frantic leap. The way his pads dragged across the sticky rough surface of the Thunderpath during his clumsy landing sent a sharp stab of pain briefly resonating through him, but the spike of adrenaline that filled him quickly numbed him to the feeling. Bowling forcefully into the small, cream colored apprentice, the pair quickly went tumbling out of the way of the Monster, barely a whiskers length from being crushed under it's giant paws. The two cats went sprawling into the scraggly, sparse grass that grew along side the foul Thunderpath, and Shadewillow found himself looming over the young apprentice, whose scent now wreathed around him; of course it was a Riverclan cat that simply froze upon the dangerous strip of territory, Thunderclan and Shadowclan cat's were much too smart for a stunt like that.. "How incredibly stupid can you be?!" He snapped, chest heaving slightly, "Do you have mud inside of your thick skull instead of a brain?!" He hissed, claws unsheathing into the greasy, clumpy soil beneath the pair. The fierce anger within him was only due to his fear- they were both nearly a whisker's length from death after all.
Shade's a warrior now, but the age difference between Acorn and Shade isn't big. she get's an older guy lmao
