Flintkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Mudfoot yowled under the night sky, jumping up to the top of the rock. Being needed by Thrushstar and Leopardfang to help with apprentice ceremonies was a huge honor for the warrior and he promised to not let the leader down. Anything for the clan.

Flintkit bounded out of the nursery, excited. Today was the day! He was finally becoming an apprentice! He sat as close to Jaggedrock as he possibly could, waiting for everyone else to come out.

"Tonight we gather to make this kit an apprentice," Mudfoot meowed as the clan gathered. "Flintkit, from now on until you receive your warrior name you, will be known as Flintpaw. I will be your mentor and hope that I'm able to teach you everything you'll need to know about the Warrior Code." With that, the senior warrior jumped down from the rock and padded over to his new apprentice and touched noses with him.
