The Green Thistle ((CLOSED))

Greenpaw scowled as he tried to placate her. "Oh stuff it, that was a terrible attempt." Her foul temper rising to the top again. Her mood growing darker as she watched him gracefully tackle that stone, envy bubbling to the top.

"I'm sure that will work great if I'm attacking something immobile." The black apprentice's tone bitter and sarcastic, however she wanted to try again. She just didn't feel like 'embarrassing' herself in front of her mentor, even if she didn't quite respect him.

But Greenpaw decided she'd rather try again, then get in trouble by disobeying her mentor. Her next crouch was much better balanced, not quite as good as Thistlefall's, but it would be good enough for hunting. It was a good jumping off point, as she crept forward and leaped, landing on her own chosen stone.

Greenpaw wasn't relieved when he didn't fire back with a retort, instead it only served to cause her more frustration. As her subconscious fought with embarrassment and unresolved anger. However, she was relieved that he felt her crouch and pounce wasn't terrible enough to warrant more criticism. Her prideful character wouldn't let her fail anymore than she already had, already she was making plans of practicing on her own.

The small black she-cat walked imperiously back towards her mentor. "Can we look around the territory more? You only showed me the gorge." She asked, adding her little disparaging comment at the end. Clearly she was displeased that her mentor wasn't up to the standards her mother had imposed.

Greenpaw nodded sternly at her mentor as he led the way again. She watched Windclan territory go by, and felt a thrill knowing she would be roaming these lands by herself someday. She would be the fiercest warrior this clan had ever seen. Nothing like her pathetic leader, Ashstar.

As she came up next to her mentor, her eyes widened. If she hadn't been so wrapped up in the awe-inspiring view, she would have made a snide comment towards Thistlefall. But for the moment, she was silenced, mouth slightly agape. "Wow..." was all she could muster, as she felt the wind buffeting her.

Greenpaw let out an out of place battle cry and began to sprint into the grasslands, unable to stay still any longer. She didn't care if she left Thistlefall behind, she had no idea there was so much land to roam. Her head thrown back as she raced straight ahead.

Greenpaw didn't care, she would leave anyone behind and never stop running if she could. Her tail streaming out behind her, and her sleek pelt getting ruffled by the buffeting wind. Thistlefall's call slipped past her as she finally fell silent, but she didn't stop running. She hadn't had a chance to act like a kit, ever. It took her a bit, but she returned to him, no apologies just a wide grin that was slowly disappearing. "Windclan must have the best territory." She said, quite pleased with herself.

Greenpaw was finally enjoying her mentor's company, nodding at his comment. She couldn't imagine being in any other clan. However, her frown was back in place at his next words. "Yeah, sure." She rolled her eyes to hide her disappoint and started back towards camp without waiting for him.
