"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" Standing on top of the willow branch, Ivyfall looked on in pride as she said those ancient words from where several leaders before her had stood. It was time for her daughter's apprentice ceremony, and the deputy was very proud to hold it.

Waterkit walked forward her eyes gleaming up at her mother. She was about to receive her new name, Waterpaw. She would have a mentor as well.

"Waterkit, you've reached the age of six moons and it is now time for you to be apprenticed. From this day forth, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Waterpaw. Your mentor will be Sootwhisper, he may already have an apprentice but he is wise and will teach you well." Ivyfall spoke, looking over to her son who sat in the crowd. Dipping her head in acknowledgement, she leapt down to join in on the chanting.
