I'm, I'm Not Amberlight (OPEN TO CLOSE ONES TO PINE AND AMBER)

The kittypet padded so quiet and afraid through the woods. What a stupid idea, to try and go out for a hunt, yet so appealing at first, that the she-cat had fell for it. She didn't have anything to lose back at the two-leg nest, so better go out have some fun. The cold was getting to her, and she was now franatically wondering abkut, going deeper and deeper in the forest without realizing.

ZZZZZ

Pinewhisker was coming back from a strol besides the Two-leg place, stroll he'd took so often after his daughters death, that he knew it's edges by heart. He walked with his paws trailing on the ground, deeply depressed. All he could scent were kittypets and two-legs, nothing like the scent of his sister around him. How useless. So he decided to go back to camp, maybe try doing something good that his clan desperately neeed, with Darkstar ill and no deputy, just Blizzardshine to lead them.

ZZZZZ

Who was the stranger she'd been following for all of this time, going deeper and deeper in the forest, making her want to run back home but yet somehow she felt dragged towards his familiar scents, so she kept on following him. The forest seemed to give away to more space and the scent growing stronger. That's when her lead turned towards her, his teeth bared, but froze and gapped at her instead of attacking. It was as if she was looking through a mirror, only his eyes to distinguish them from each other. But the stranger ran from her, towards the familiar smell, and left her staring. 

She followed. The path narrowed into a tunnel through bushes, then she was in an open space, and the smell was stronger than ever, making her dizzy. Cats were all over it, sitting alone or in groups, and she saw the brown cat into the middle of the clearing, his eyes wide open in awe. He was whispering something, and the kittypet came closer to him, to hear.

"Amberlight, Amberlight, Amberlight, Amberlight."

"Who's that? I'm Choco, a kittypet..."

Who was she?

Blizzardshine was resting under the sun, taking a quick break from her duties to not get overwhelmed when Amberlight padded inside the camp. She almost jumped to her paws, overjoyed to see the warrior she had mentored again, to know that she was alive and well “Amberlight! Thank StarClan, you’re back!” She purred with her usual smile. She could smell that scent that came from twolegs and their kittypets on her fur, was that what had happened to her? Was she taken away by them? Well, now at least she knew why all the searching parties that had tried to find her after she went missing came back with empty paws. It was rare for the optimistic she-cat to hate anything, but she would be lying if she said that she wasn’t starting to feel a bit angered by how those furless creatures were constantly messing up with the clans.

The brown cat turned around to look at the other cat. She looked familiar as well, but who was she? Choco had the stranglung impression the other cats wanted her to know them or expected her to remember them, but she couldn't, only foggy memories and that sweet smell hanging from their pelts. She decided to act as nice as possible.

"Erm, excuse me. My name is Choco and I came from the tow-leg place, not far from here." she meowed, her voice turning dry and unhappy with worry. Maybe she should be remembering those cats, and it was her fault she didn't.

“Choco? Amberlight…are you being serious?” Blizzardshine was clearly confused, and couldn’t believe the younger she-cat’s words, this wasn’t the reunion she was expecting when she saw her padding inside the camp “Can’t you remember me? I’m Blizzardshine, I was your mentor before you...wwent missing” Her voice was soft and slow, like talking to a small kit that couldn’t understand a serious situation, yet each word leaked confusion. What had happened while Amberlight was missing? Why she couldn’t remember them? What the twolegs did to her?
