Emberpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Darkstar cheerfully hopped onto the Highrock, slipping up only slightly due to her missing leg. A warrior ceremony was due today! "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Emberpaw bounded forward, her ears pricked.
She'd only come back from her assessment a little while ago, and that meant Pinewhisker must have told Darkstar she was ready to become a warrior!
Shooting an infinitely thankful glance towards the black tom, the fiery apprentice's gaze returned to the leader, mounted up on the Highrock. A million things were spinning in her head, her heart pounding excitedly. Yellow and amber streaks appeared in her eyes as she sat down, her tail brushing some sand to the side.
Finally! I can't believe it. Oh Starclan, thanks. Thanks a lot. Oh Starclan. This is gonna be great! I'm ready. I'm beyond ready! 
And with that confident thought, the russet she committed the moment to memory, savoring it as she awaited Darkstar's next words.

Mistywater walked out of the warriors den. She was proud of how far her daughter had come, she looked up at Darkstar and smiled.

She set her gaze onto the apprentice below. "I, Darkstar, Leader of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Emberpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do," Emberpaw replied, feeling the clan's eyes on her. Her heart felt just about ready to burst with pride and loyalty as she gazed up at Darkstar.

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. Emberpaw, from now on you will be known as Emberheart, for you loyalty and determination. We welcome you as a full warrior of Thunderclan" The leader purred before hopping down to join the chanting of the new warrior's name.

Emberheart let out a loud, resounding, satisfying purr as she turned around to the chanting cats. She felt her deep golden fur lift up and be blown by the wind, rippling gently.
Emberheart.
It's perfect.
