Sunpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Fishstar hopped up onto the willow branch and and yowled, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!"

Sunpaw took his place underneath the willow branch, looking up at his leader, he waited patiently.

"Sunpaw," she called, "please step forward."

Taking in a deep breath, the apprentice stepped forward.

"I, Fishstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in turn. Sunpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" asked Fishstar, locking eyes with the younger cat.

"Tt tt!" Sunpaw sounded, it was as close to 'I do' as he could say. The tom understood the responsibilities he was taking on and accepted his fate as a RiverClan warrior. He'd have Ashpaw by his side anyway, he was ready to embrace this new role as warrior of RiverClan.

Fishstar dipped her head. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Sunpaw, from this day forth you shall be known as Sunfeather. RiverClan honours your strength and loyalty."

Ashpaw sat from a distance, observing the charming tom earn his well deserved Warrior name ...

Sunfeather ... It's fitting, she thought to herself.

"Sunfeather, Sunfeather!" The gray colored she-cat yowled cheerfully, praising his Warrior name.
