Squirrelkit sat at the very edge of camp, her pale brown tabby fur ruffled, being blown back by the wind. Her tail lay flat, striped, unmoving, behind her.
The kit's back was turned on the camp. Her mouth opened to scent the air, and her wide eyes finally opened, squinting, opened to stare at the trees. She was obviously older than a kit; the blue that all kits had in their eyes was fading, fading to a moss-colored green.  

Squirrelkit's ears twitched as the croak of a crow broke her trance.

A fire built up inside her heart again and she glared at the warm rock below her, burning with passion. Unfair. Stupid. Fish-brains. I hate 'em all.
Her tabby ears pricked as the sound of movement came from behind her, and she spun to see who it was, green eyes blazing defiantly.

"Sorry for the intrusion, Squirrelkit!" He chuckled awkwardly, not intending to sneak up behind some other cat like this.

"I was curious what you were doing, is all." He explained politely, lowering his head as a form of apology. Leaning back and sitting on his haunches as he awaited for a sort of response from the younger she-cat.

The pale tabby flickered her gaze up and down the apprentice's body, muling him over.

When Squirrelkit was done, the kit stood and beckoned to him with her tail.
"Look," she said casually. "You're an apprentice, so this can be done easily. Just stand over there and act like you've been overcome with, um, Starclan using you to message a prophecy or something. I'll be away in the bushes," she tossed her head back, staring the tom in the eyes. "You can come with me then, once you're done distracting the clan, when I'm long gone, if you'd like. Ready?"
The older she-kit turned toward the entrance of camp, not even waiting for Ripplepaw to follow.

Ripplepaw gave a low chuckle.

"Or ... Could I just bore the Clan to death with my useless knowledge? It doesn't take Star Clan prophecies to get their attention." He explained.

[color=#6ac713"But I don't mind helping out, Squirrelkit."[/color] He nodded his head firmly, not seeing any harm in just stepping out from the Clan for a moment. The brown colored tom trotted over to a few Clanmates that were running around the camp.

The young tom had gotten their attention and distracted them as per instructions from Squirrelkit. Speaking of the weather, boring facts about the fish in the river near the Clan. Anything that would dull the attention of these fellow Clan cats and perhaps even chase them away?

He had distracted these warriors for a few mere moments before the gave an indifferent smile, and turned tail to go somewhere else in the Clan to get out of Ripplepaw's boring preaching of useless facts and knowledge.

Squirrelkit had immediately snuck away when Ripplepaw had begun, her skills at sneaking, unfortunately to many cats, already too sharp.

Finally, when most cats had turned away, cringing, she'd pulled the tom into the bush beside her. The kit's nose was scrunched up and she stared at him, ears laid flat against her head.
"Disgusting!" she whispered. "That's absolutely and terrifyingly scary. How do you even know that stuff?"
And Squirrelkit did, in truth, look horrified.
"We should go." she weaved around next to him, the heat of their body warmth and hot breath filling the inside of the bush.
The kit poked her head out first, then the rest of her body followed suit as she slunk away. Her tail flicked just as she'd seen warriors do, signaling for him to follow her.
