November's Gathering 2016

willowpaw sat and watched her name being called, excited for something to finally happen

Mothpaw padded in beside her father Blacktwig.

Littlepaw padded in and sat either Thunderclan.

Blazepaw came and sat down next to Littlepaw.

Blizzardshine took a deep breath as she took a step forwards. This was it, it was time for her to explain why she leaded the clan instead of Frozenflame or Darkstar “ThunderClan is faring well, we have two new warriors in the clan, Sheepnose and Mosswing, we also got several new apprentices, Sparrowpaw, Mottledpaw, Bumblepaw, Mothpaw, Emberpaw, Blazepaw, Sedgepaw, Dawnpaw, Littlepaw, Fernpaw, Sleekpaw and Grasspaw” Blizzardshine hoped that she didn’t forget anyone, as well to be talking properly, as she was having a bit of a hard time trying to control the nervousness in her voice to sound as calm as collected as the previous leaders “Frozenflame, our past deputy, joined the elders not long ago. Darkstar also sends her apologies for not being able to attend, but her health wouldn’t allow her to come tonight with the rest of the clan” After saying those words, she took a step backwards to let another one of the cats with her speak. She tried to leave the fact that they didn’t have a deputy at all out, hoping that the rest of the clans wouldn’t ask about it…yeah, it was a silly hope, but maybe they could just think that she was the deputy? She wasn’t sure if giving away that piece of info would make them seem vulnerable and she didn’t want to risk it.

Frogpaw snorted, openly mocking Ashstar's words as he watched the leaders speak. "Foxhearted windbags." The apprentice meowed loudly enough to catch a WindClan cat's ears, scoring the earth with his claws.

Otterpaw agreed with the tom's sentiments, but he refrained from being so open with his feelings. Simply choosing to roll his eyes when he heard the WindClan leader talk of peace.

Sunpaw, surprisingly, was the most calm of the three, choosing to nuzzle Shellpaw, offering comfort to the denmate.

Ivyfall sent a sharp look over to the apprentices, but didn't exactly disagree with their sentiments.

Rippedpaw perked his ears as the Windclan leader announced his name for the first time. He'd been and apprentice for a bit, but this was this first gathering. The apprentice was proud to be here with Windclan and glad his clan was fairing well. The words of the Thunderclan leader stand-in did not seem to do much to ease the fear of lack of leadership.

Grasspaw jumped up excitedly as the Thunderclan warrior called her name. She had waited moons to finally be made and apprentice due to everything going on with their clan. It took her a second to realize none of the other newly named apprentices were standing and she quickly sat back down.

Sleetpaw bristled, raking his claws through the dirt. He was right there; there wasn't any excuse to let him walk free. Who cared what the other Clans thought? It was an embarrassment that they'd still let that scrap of mange walk after what he'd done to Shellpaw. He tore his gaze away from the WindClan warrior, spitting curses under his breath, and focused an icy glare on the cats on the Great Rock. The black cat, Crowstar, and something about mending his ways... The Dark Forest? A chill ran down his spine, but they moved on to the next leader before he could linger on the phrase. Ashstar. WindClan, at peace with everyone else? Sleetpaw didn't bother to hide his growl.

Somewhere in the back of his head, he made a note that Darkstar hadn't appeared, but he was more focused on the solid gray she-cat sitting beside Fishstar. He didn't know why Fishstar hadn't acted back then, but now was her chance.

Sleekpaw followed the crowd of Thunderclan warriors and apprentices as his eyes explored the place. It was amazing, but he wasn't those unmature apprentices. He lifted his head and continued walking.


Greypaw greeted Lakepaw with a mew as she settled herself on the ground. She was still shaking slightly after all the clans have come. "Lakepaw, are you nervous?" She asked.

(gaah, hang on!)
Tawnystorm, Mosswing and Heatherstripe all padded in behind their respective leaders. The gathering tonight would certainly be interesting.
They all sat down and listened to the leaders talk. Heatherstripe smiled at the mention of her kits. They were so grown up now, it seemed. It hadn't felt like long ago when their eyes were still shut, suckling with tiny mewls. She was so incredibly proud of them.

Tawnystorm snorted when Ashstar finished. Not a single mention of Shellpaw's attack? Pathetic. Well, maybe the WindClan leader wasn't aware of the attacks, but still - she should have. Most of all, she was still feeling a certain type of anger towards them. She glared over in their general direction, her eyes fuming.

Mosswing grinned goofishly after her name was mentioned. She cast an excited glance and nudge to Blacktwig, making sure he'd realised. It was a fairly obvious thing, yes, but the warrior happend to have a thing for pointing out the obvious. She wondered why RiverClan seemed to be sending death stares to WindClan. What had angered the normally calm clan so much?

Fallowpaw snorted disapprovingly at Ashstar's silence due to the recent issue, unsheathing her claws slightly at even the sound of the leader's voice. Perhaps one of the names announced might've done it? Fallowpaw didn't quite know.

Blacktwig returned Mosswing's grin with one of his own, glad her name was announced. It hadn't been so long since it was his own, had it been? No... Blacktwig looked around. Why was hostility, of all things, clearly radiating from RiverClan... towards WindClan. Oh, that's just great.

Emberfall searched in the crowd for Blacktwig, she eyes saw a recognizable pelt and ran over, soon to see a she-cat she had seen the past time she was here. Emberfall was furious at this she-cat, but she knew it wouldn't be a good idea to get mad at her. Instead, the calico walked up to the tom "Hey, Blacktwig" she mewed "How are your kits?" she asked, it was weird. Asking a question that also did belong to herself.

Mistywater looked around for someone to chat with, usually at these meetings she waited because they would always have a lot more to talk about, but this time was different. She stood up, looking for a cat for her Clan or not, to chat with.

Lilacpaw noticed how ThunderClan's leader wasn't with the other leaders, she also noticed how her Clan looked mad at WindClan. Of course, since Lilacpaw was still a new apprentice, she had no idea what had happened making this fight appear. The small she-cat knew it would be wrong to show that at a gathering, so she didn't make any sort of glare at WindClan.

Fishstar had intended to speak after Ashstar, but was beaten to the chase. It was mind-numbingly frustrating to have to wait. It seemed like Ashstar didn't know what had happened, but then again, why would a leader announce to all five Clans that one of their warriors had committed an act of senseless violence? Still, the RiverClan leader sat with a composed expression. Leaders served as a representation for the Clans - losing herself in her anger up on the Great Rock would only make RiverClan look like a bunch of short-tempered fools.

Finally, when Blizzardshine's speech ended, Fishstar stepped forward. "RiverClan is faring well, as it has been for the past couple of moons. Though Leafbare approaches, and prey is becoming more difficult to come by for everyone, we have been blessed with an abundance of kits, and in turn, a slew of new apprentices. Many of those apprentices are well on their ways to becoming warriors, so by the next full moon, they will have their new names. Cloudstone has also selected Flintkit to serve as our medicine cat apprentice.."

She stopped for a moment to collect her words. As with every time an accusation was tossed around at a Gathering, the silver tabby would have to choose her words carefully. ".. And while on the topic of medicine cats, it is thanks to Cloudstone's talents that Shellpaw is still with us." Fishstar’s gaze fell on Ashstar, and in a cold, flat tone, she said, “She suffered a brutal attack a sunrise ago, and by her claims, it was at the paws of a WindClan warrior, along the border. Care to explain what the meaning of that was, exactly?”

Both Snakepaw and Stormpaw bristled at the WindClan cats. Snakepaw was clearly angry, but Stormpaw was beyond angry. He was ready to rip them to shreds, Gathering or not. It was a mixture of hurt Clan pride and concern for one of his acquaintances. No one attacked a RiverClan cat and got away with it. He wanted nothing more than to disfigure them all, just as they'd done to his denmate. Filthy moor-rats..

Darkpaw followed Shadowclan into Fourtrees. It was filled with scents of different cats. She sniffed the air as she tried seperating each individual scent.

Mothpaw looked over at her father as a she cat came over. "Dad, who's this?" The black ginger and white tortie meowed her almost transparent darker fur spots were barely visable at night and she tilted her head, hazel eyes looking at her father.

Blazepaw spotted Grasspaw and quick padded over a purr rumbling in his throat. "Hey Grasspaw!" The white and gray tom meowed yellow eyes glinting in the darkness of the night.

Littlepaw flicked his black Bengal tail in discomfort as he listened to the leader talk.

Listening to Fishstar speak, Smokepelt's fur bristled when she mentioned WindClan. One of their cats had injured an apprentice in coldblood? How dare she accuse them of that! Digging his claws into the earth and looking around at the death glares given to WindClan from the fish eating cats, he couldn't stay quiet any longer. "Liar!" he yelled, outraged at the leader's statement.

Casting nervous glances around the crowd of cats, Tinylegs hoped a fight wasn't going to break out. Someone yowled something and the small cat prayed to StarClan that everyone would remember they were at a gathering.

Petalpaw's fur touched Sleetpaw's and she hoped her fear wasn't showing. Of course she wasn't very happy about what happened to Shellpaw but that didn't mean that the leader or other cats needed to be so on edge. Couldn't they all just get along and live in peace?

Pinewhisker followed behind Blizzardshine when a stern expression. The clan was put in the hands of the experienced warrior,mand even though he trusted her, he was far from comfortable with the situation they were in. Weakened, exposed, lacking a true leader, or a deputy. Blizzardshine must be dying with uncertainty, but let's hope she stands up for us. the brown warrior thought, taking a place amongst his clan in the clearing. It was cold outside, and he wondered whether he'd see Sagepaw at this Gathering. After Galepaw's death, she and Driftkit, who hasn't yet left the nursery, were his only daughters left. The chocolate tom scanned the clearing with piercing emerald eyes. This cold was getting to him.


Cherrypaw felt the tinges in the air shift as they were joined by a stronger scent of ThunderClan, showing that the third clan had showed up, too. She could scent anxiousness within all of the clans, ThunderClan, RiverClan and SkyClan alike, and the white apprentice wondered quietly in her mind what might be going on to send all of these cats into a state of defensiveness towards themselves. Had anything crucial happened to the others as well? Has not just SkyClan been chased to another home by the storm? Cherrypaw turned again towards the scent of her family and smiled gratefully to her father, who was at the same time her mentor. "Great, thanks...!" she muttered dryly. Sagepaw would never be there to see her become a warrior, and she would never see him become a warrior. Maybe she should just get her mind of him, hopefully, he'd just got a bit lost from the fear and great mass of cats probably pushing him away.




Smokeface twitched his whiskers in the cool breeze, his fur growing colder and colder. The camp of RiverClan was still damp and unpleasant, and all the sleep he could get was just a chain of bad dreams and pointles garbage. Life was harer and harder as time passed, and worry brought the tom to sometimes the mood of an angry badger. He hoped his mate and kits knew he did all of those things for their best. He patted the ground with his tail and narrowed his eyes. He expected a good exlpanation from Ashstar about the attack of his apprentice, Shellaw. If any kind of gossip had gotten to her warrior, did these mouse-brains believed they could just pick on RiverClan and get away with it? He shook away the spite from his mind as ThunderClan arrived. Him eyebrow's arched at the sight of a warrior leading the clan. Did both Darkstar and Frozenflame both got sick or... died. He noticed the fraught look on the SkyClan cats' looks. They were tired too, surely. Smkoeface felt his mood slightly fallen. None of his kin were at this gathering. Maybe Porcupinepaw? But no, he might be still in Cloudstone's den.
Then his ears rang at the words of the WindClan deputy, and he hissed. "So, what do you suggest? That my apprentice never came into camp mauled by one of your dirty cat's claws!? Oh well, my bad!"
