Ivyfall hadn't expected to be heavy with kits again after her mate, Oakfoot's death in the flooding. She'd resigned herself to singledom, having out-lived two mates already now. However, Stoatfur, a handsome RiverClan warrior was quick to flirt with her shamelessly, the tabby brought her juicy voles and groomed her so gently. Together, they found comfort in each other and a few moons later, she was curled up in a nest giving birth. Stoatfur had paced outside in fear of her health still he'd left, unable to bear the tension. However, having done this many times before, Ivyfall knew what to do well. With a few pushes, a kit was born.

She was beautiful, a little grey tabby she-kit. She was so small, yet she was easily one of the most beautiful things that the queen had ever seen. The queen licked the kit on the head, getting her clean and her airways open before she settled down around her. "Greykit, that'll be your name, after your beautiful fur." The queen purred.

After the flood, there had been so much death. She prayed that Greykit would live, that she was be strong and StarClan wouldn't take her from her, like they'd done her previous litters. This litter had only been one kit, surely they wouldn't harm her little one.

The little kit could barely open her eyes as she scurried to where her mother was, then she began to suckle.

Ivyfall looked down with so much love in her eyes, the queen was purring non-stop whilst licking the little kit warm. She was so precious to her, little sweet Greykit. "May the stars always light your path, Greykit."

The kit purred as she felt her mother lick her, it felt so good.
