The Nursery

Duskkit blinked his eyes open, trying to adjust to the light inside the nursery. Slowly, the kit stretched and yawned before grooming his dark fur, thinking about what to do today.

Wolfkit woke up, shaking her pelt and stumbling out of her spot. She smiled awkwardly to Dustkit. "H-hey, do you want to play...?" she asked him shyly.

Duskkit looked to Wolfkit, blinking his dark brown eyes at her. He wasn't one for play, and certainly not interested in other kits. With another blink, Duskkit let out a sigh and turned back to his grooming.

Wolfkit tried not tl show her disappointment, but most of all, her negative emotions taking the best of her as she fought back some awkward tears and sat down, trying tl look unaffected by how the tom was uniterested in even talking to her.

The dark-furred kit sighed as he heard some sniffles from the she-kit. She-kits are soemotional. Duskkit thought, grooming his face.

Flamekit growled as the other kits woke him up from his nap, but he sat up and looked them over.
"What are you all up to?" The dark orange-red tom usually was not one for playing around with others. However, it was awfully boring living in such a cramped den and simply waiting to be apprenticed. He was very grateful that the clan had taken him in and wanted nothing more than to jump into battle for them, rather than be confined to a small space with kits.

Duskkit shot a cold look to Flamekit. "And why should I tell you?" He asked coolly, grooming himself slowly and perfectionistically.

Wolfkit lifted her head to look at the two fierce kits and wlndered how was she going to make it through harsh Shadowc
Clan, when all the cats wre tooth and claw against eachother at all times.

Duskkit rolled his eyes at the two kits, laying down in his comfortable nest to nap. The large kit closed his eyes slowly, beginning to fall asleep.

Flamekit huffed at his denmates cold response and turned to Wolfkit.
"Up for exploring the camp?" He asked, trying to sound a little kinder than before. He figured she must be as bored as him all cooped up in here.

Duskkit rolled onto his side as he slept, frowning.

Rustkit sits there, silently envying Wolfkit for being brave enough to ask the other kits if they wanted to play. He himself being to scared to ask the kits that are older than him.

"Hey, ummm" He starts, and then goes silent, because he gets nervous again, with how much bigger the other kits are than him. He sits back in the corner he was in, quietly grooming his long cinnamon fur.
