Appreciate the Little Details (Closed for Twitch)

Bumblepaw entered camp from a short hunting trip, a thrush dangling from his jaws. His gaze darted around, weary of the appearance of other cats, and, he dropped the bird onto the ground. He sat down beside it, his fluffy golden coat neatly groomed and much like a mane wreathing his neck. Disliking feathers on his birds, he began plucking short feathers from its spotted breast. As he did, he murmured the likings of his actions. "Feathers from the front..." He muttered, picking his way to the back of the deceased thrush. "And to the back, dark brown and light." He wondered if his words would be heard and, with slight worry, he hoped not.

"It seems as if whoever killed that thrush snapped it's spine."
It was the voice of Sheeppaw, as she padded up behind Bumblepaw. She had seen this apprentice when he was a kit many times before but she had never had the chance to speak to him. She tilted her head, looking down at the apprentice that was plucking the feather's off of the thrush.
"You appreciate details, don't you? Hm, you remind me of myself." She told Bumblepaw, managing to put on a small and calm smile to attempt to set the mood.

Bumblepaw glanced up at Sheeppaw. He had seen the she-cat a few times before, but now that he was an apprentice, he could appreciate her and his clanmates more. He straightened up, fur bristling as she examined his movements. This apprentice just went up to him, but he decided he should improve his personality, or else he would be lectured again. "Yes," he said, with respect for the older cat. "I did. And..." He trailed off, resisting a growl of his own. "You do too?"

Sheeppaw nodded at the younger apprentice, keeping her calm expression.
"Yes, I do. It's important to observe the little details. You're gonna be a great apprentice and an even better warrior." The white she-cat complimented Bumblepaw.

Bumblepaw nodded, thinking that she was joking for a minute. He had heard this apprentice was rather cold before seeing her, and now she seemed much different. "Thank you," he meowed, retaining a respectful attitude. He glanced down at the thrush, feathers barely plucked. "I'm going to go take this to the elders," he said. He believed kits were a nuisance, and he couldn't think of himself as previously being known as one. However, he equally divided the share of fresh-kill.

Now this was just strange. It was as if Sheeppaw was looking back at her past, except there was a whole different cat in her place. If this kit was so much like her than she expected a whole bunch of sharp-tongued and sarcastic remarks to be flung at her any moment now, but she was prepared for any words that would be said, good or bad. She nodded at Bumblepaw's mention of the elders, "That's good...have you taken any to the nursery yet?"

"Yes." Bumblepaw said, almost sharply. He almost did spit the words out as he thought of chores that had to be done daily. "I did it last time." He gave a roll of his greenish-golden eyes. "Yeah, last time," he hissed under his breath.

Sheeppaw then narrowed her icy blue eyes temporarily. There it was. Sheeppaw could hear the sharpness in his tone as if it was her own, which it was a while ago. She just sighed.
"Are you lying, Bumblepaw?" She asked, simply, "At least I didn't lie when I was given tasks to do..." She murmured the final part with a flick of her white tail.

Bumblepaw shook his head. "No, it's just tiring. If I were lying, I wouldn't be bringing this fresh-kill to the elders." He said, sitting down on his haunches. If he knew anything, this apprentice wouldn't be convinced, and insist that he was lying, even though it wasn't her life.

Sheeppaw rolled her eyes, it was the first time she had rolled them in a while, actually. It was as if she was talking to herself.
"Whatever you want to say, but you do realize I could just go and ask the queens and kits if they were fed." Sheeppaw said, not putting on a threatening tone, but just keeping a calm demeanor. She could go back and forth with this kit all day.

(he actually did, he just really hates doing it.)

"Uh, yeah. Go do that." Bumblepaw said, instead having a threatening tone despite Sheeppaw's calm one. His fur wasn't fluffed up, but there was annoyance in his bright yellow orbs. He began pacing, gaze locked with Sheeppaw's own.

(Okay.)

It was time to fight fire with fire. Not literally, of course, but with words.
"Fine. You might have done it, but that's no reason to act like someone has ruffled your fur in the other direction. I'll have you know that even less than a moon ago, I was exactly like you. Attitude and personality-wise. Do you know where that got me? Nowhere. Okay? So here's some advice for you. Cut. it. out."
Sheeppaw put it plainly how it was, not bothering to sugarcoat it.

Bumblepaw shrugged simply at her words, not knowing this cat, so, therefore, not really trying to act like her at all. It must've just been a coincidence. "Alright," he said, as if he gave up. However, something in his voice hinted to sarcasm. "Yep, I'll stop," he sat down, gaze flaming upwards at Sheeppaw. "May I take this to the elders now?" He asked, as if he really needed her permission to do anything.
