Silkkit and Bumblekit's Apprentice Ceremony

The wind was picking up. Not enough to be alarming, but it was noticeable. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!" Was a storm coming? Maybe she was just paranoid.

Bumblekit walked reluctantly out of the nursery, awkward fur in tufts on his side like golden winds. He growled softly, perhaps some dumb cat was going to get to... I don't know... Have to do some fancy words and they get better than him? With jealousy he sat down.

Silkkit bounced serenly behind her brother, and as soon as they stopped, she licked a patch of ruffled fur on her brother's back. "There it is." she mewed, proud of her handywork.

ooc- erm. so silkkit died before the ceremony was finished, so i guess i should just continue. sorry.

"Bumblekit, you have reached the age of six moons and it is time that you became apprenticed. From this day forth until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Bumblepaw." The leader turned her gaze to a familiar dark pelt (who wasn't actually there). "Plumblossom. I hope that you can train him well." Darkstar smiled at her daughter before jumping down to finish the ceremony.

Bumblepaw didn't exactly bounce up like a normal kit would. He instead held his head high, as if he were better than all, before lowering it to briefly touch noses with his new mentor. There had been a delay, and a bad feeling had hung in the air during that silence.
