Night Terrors (open to 1 of Amberpaw's aquiantances)

Amberpaw's head shot up and she gasped for air the third time that night, the same might terror shaking her feeble sleep.The she-cat padded wearily outmof the apprentice's den, looking around the silent and dark camp, shadows lurking everywhere. She sat down kn the cold air, trying to clear her mind and curled up in a ball, her muzzle resting on her paws.

Mosspaw's gleaming green eyes scanned the camp in the darkness. Her trips had been getting shorter these past few nights. She'd realized just how important her training was, but that wasn't going to stop her entirely. The small, fluffy apprentice's gaze landed on Amberpaw. She was familiar with her, and thought she was nice enough. She'd call her an acquaintance - not stranger, but not good friend like she was with Blacktwig. Still, it was odd to see her out here at this hour. Mosspaw padded out from the shadows, silent as a ghost.
"Wasn't expecting you to be out here, Amberpaw."

Amberpaw lifted her hea, an odd expression on her face, as if she could have been startled if she wasn't so tired. But her nightmares have kept her awake and all shemcould manage was a syiff nod of greeting. "I have been sleeping badly." she mewed dryly at Mosspaw.

Mosspaw frowned, and sat beside Amberpaw. "Bad dreams, I guess? Anything on your mind?"

Amnerpaw looked at the apprentice with s oft smile of gratitude as she joined her. "Two-legs, I suppose. They are really scary." she muttered, expecting the cat to burst into laughter as soon as she heard she was genuinely terrified by Two-legs. Most cats were afraid, too, but she was completely terrified by them.

Mosspaw couldn't help but let a tiny smirk slip through. "Twolegs? Well, they're irritating, and, well, I'll admit they're a bit scary. I've never met a cat unafraid of them." She thought for a moment. "Well, if you're actually having terrible dreams about 'em, I'd say you're a bit more scared than that the average cat. And that's fine, I won't judge. We've all got our fears."

"Yeah..." she muttered, trying to encourage herself to let her fear go, but she couldn't, not entirely. Frok when Cloverpool had told her about Two-legs, she had been more afraid than ever, hetting up all the time and every night. "So, you and... Blacktwig?" the she-cat muttered, trying to change the subject.

"Ah, yep, me and Blacktwig," Mosspaw sighed. "We're good friends, as you know. Very good friends. He's good for laughs, and generally just to talk to about anything." She could see Amberpaw was trying to change the subject.

"No, seriously. You're afraid of twolegs?" The apprentice took a breath. "Well, I'll admit it now....I'm scared of being forgotten. Yes, if I ever slip off into the night, run away or are killed, I don't want to be forgotten. I want to have kits and friends that'll remember me long after I die. I know it sounds silly, but I truly am scared of kt. Not of death, but not being remembered."
