I have been noticing it a lot lately. People have been deeming their cats as warriors and apprentices before the ceremony is over or barely even begun. Guys you cannot do this. If your ceremony isn't complete yet then you are still the previous rank. So if my Thistlekit was in the middle of a ceremony I can't have her go do apprentice stuff because her ceremony isn't complete she isnt an apprentice yet. I cannot use her as Thistlepaw in any topic until that ceremony is over. If you are using them as their new rank before the ceremony is over its a conflict of time and creates a paradox. Which is against the role playing rules.

"No paradoxing. Only once a topic is finished does a cat have a memory of that topic in new topics. But only ones created after the first was finished. It may sound confusing, but topics shouldn't last all that long."

So until they are deemed their new rank, and the ceremony is over do they have their new name. Guys ceremonies don't take that long you can wait.

If I see this being done again there will be consequences.

I remember waiting for Blackpaw's ceremony to be done before I RPed him as an apprentice. It's torture to wait, but honestly.

I'm going to second this announcement. Sometimes I have to hold up ceremonies because certain people haven't shown up yet, and I have to wait for them to appear before I can post again. Sometimes us leaders just get busy with real life. I get that it sucks to wait, but patience is a virtue. I've personally seen quite a few people posting as apprentices/warriors before their apprentice/warrior ceremonies are done, and there need to be a line drawn.

Yes, Fish. Renette was in a time of inactivity when Blackkit needed his ceremony, I respected that and waited nonetheless.

I know I'm a rare sighting these days but let me chip in with a tangentially related suggestion that might make life easier for everyone.

Maybe we should do less "bulk" ceremonies with a bunch of people, and instead start making single topics for individual ceremonies. So instead of 1 apprentice ceremony topic for 6 kits, make 6 topics for each apprentice ceremony.

It might sound hectic, but if someone's a slowpoke, it doesn't mean everyone else has to suffer too. Ceremonies would go a lot faster and people would be happier even if it meant way more topics created. For example, Fish and I probably could've finished this in five minutes if we wanted to, but we had to wait on another kit for a full week. Not fun.

Go easy on your leaders. It's a hard job, and ceremonies are probably the #1 worst part. But at the same time, people shouldn't expect to be kept waiting. Sometimes you can't help being impatient.

Yeah I was very sick recently and that with my device killing itself and school just made it so difficult, and I feel terrible for making people wait for their ceremonies, luckily people have been very light hearted towards this.
