Tawnypaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" Fishstar shouted.

Tawnypaw padded out from the apprentice's den, her face as serious as ever, but excitement glittering in her eyes. She sat down, suspecting this might be her warrior ceremony.

(Tawnystorm please)

Ivyfall came quickly out of the warrior's den, sitting below the willow branch facing the clan. She looked over at her daughter with her bright green eyes, beaming love and pride at her daughter. Tawnypaw had proven herself to both clan and StarClan, she would make a fine warrior, and Ivyfall was eager to see her receive her name.

"Tawnypaw, please step forward," Fishstar beckoned.

Tawnypaw's mind was racing as she stepped forward proudly. This was the moment she had been waiting for ever since her earliest days as a kit, watching the warriors - and now she was to become one.

Fishstar nodded down to the apprentice and then cleared her throat for the oncoming speech. "I, Fishstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in turn. Tawnypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." Tawnypaw nodded solemnly. She was grateful that her warrior ceremony, the day she had waited for her whole life, was under StarClan. It only felt right.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name." Fishstar was glad that RiverClan was receiving new warriors. It needed to rebuild after the chaos that the Dark Forest had brought, and from the looks of it, the regrowth was already occurring. "From this day forth, you shall be known as Tawnystorm. RiverClan honours your undying loyalty and courage."

The Clan erupted in cheers of Tawnystorm's new name.

"Tawnystorm! Tawnystorm!" Ivyfall shouted the loudest with pride, her gaze unwaveringly on her daughter. She was so proud of her, Tawnystorm, yes, that was good strong name. She'd be a great warrior, the deputy just knew it.
