You'll wish you were dead [Logpaw's Training]

Darkfrost had heard a lot about Logkit - now Logpaw - from his son, Crowpaw. If what Crowpaw said was true, then Logpaw was nothing but a paranoid coward. Of course it was true, Crowpaw would never dare lie to his father! In that case, Darkfrost was going to have to do something about his new apprentice, Logpaw. The last thing the warrior was going to do was let a scared weakling be accepted as a full member of Riverclan. "Logpaw, get up now and meet me outside of camp. You'll eat after training, but you have to earn your meal, otherwise you'll just have to starve for today." Okay, maybe Darkfrost was being a bit hard on poor Logpaw, but it would do. The black and white tom then exited the apprentice den and waited just outside of camp for his apprentice to join him.

Logpaw hadn't really slept. He was terrified of his new mentor to put it simply. If Crowpaw was his son, how bad was he? His dreams had been filled with taunting yellow eyes, Darkfrosts eyes. The apprentice shivered, despite it being quite hot in the crowded den. Why did he, of all cats, get paired with the scary warrior? The one who would eat him in his sleep!

As soon as he started imagining Darkfrosts ripping him to shreds, he heard a sharp command. He yowled loudly, Darkfrost didn't only just gaunt his dreams.. He bristled slightly as he stood up stiffly.

"I'm coming!" he squeaked, running out of the den, and crashing into another cat. Sorry.. he thoght, as he stood up and raced through the entrance. He came up beside his mentor, shrinking back, panting heavily.

The white warrior flicked his black tail impatiently as his clumsy apprentice bolted out of camp and stopped near by, cowering away from him. "Don't do that, Logpaw. Stand up straight and tall, don't shrink back like how you're doing. Puff out your chest a bit; show some pride," Darkfrost barked as he narrowed his one blue and one yellow eye at him. The first step of training was to teach Logpaw how to not be a baby. "We won't leave until your posture is right."

Logpaw trembled under the his mentors harsh gaze. Why did he have to be assigned to this mean, terrible mentor? It was so unfair! Anger flooded through him, and as he started to stand up fully, Darkfrost started yelling at him. Fright coursed through his veins, he shrunk back again.

"Um, yes sir.. Uh yes, I'll try. Um yeah." He muttered, standing back up on shaky legs. Logpaw breathed in sharply, puffing out his puny chest as well as he could. He eventually had to breathe out, and he bent inwards as he exhaled. Just as quickly, he sucked in another breath.

"Like this?" he whispered.

Darkfrost watched his apprentice, his eyes still narrowed. "It is good for now. We'll fix it later. Today, we are going to work on getting you into shape. That means running, climbing, swimming, anything and everything that will make you faster, stronger, and give you more stamina. We will keep doing this throughout our first chunk of training sessions, then we will move on to hunting and fishing, which will prepare you for the last stage; fighting."

The tom turned and started walking as he spoke, flicking his long, thin black tail to signal for Logpaw to follow him. Darkfrost jogged away from camp, and the area opened up into a grassy field, about half the size of an American football field. "First is running. Run around the field five times without stopping. You have to run an extra lap every time you stop. Go."
