Blizzardpaw and Sedgepaw's Warrior Ceremony

Treestep padded up onto the Highrock and gazed upon her now familiar clan yet her stomach was still uneasy as she gazed around, a smile was painted on her face and she called out aloud, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here for a clan meeting!"

Blizzardpaw took a deep breath before walking towards the Highrock. Finally it was time for her warrior ceremony, but unlike her apprentice ceremony, this one was a bittersweet, knowing that not all her clanmates were with her and the situation in which her clan was currently in. Then again, she couldn’t help but wonder, without StarClan’s approval…was she really becoming a warrior at all?

Sedgepaw padded out from the apprentices den, he made his way to sit down next to Blizzardpaw, happily looking up at Treestep.

OOC: Sedgewhisker please.

"Blizzardpaw, Sedgepaw, please step forward." She called out loud, once the two apprentices had joined her beneath the Highrock she continued. "I, Treestep, leader of Thunderclan, call upon the Dark Forest to accept these two apprentices as warriors. They have trained under your code and continue to shall follow it. Blizzardpaw, Sedgepaw, do you promis to follow and protect the Dark Forest no matter the cost?"

Blizzardpaw took a deep breath. She was neutral between the Dark Forest and StarClan for several reasons, but even in neutral ground she couldn’t help but feel that this was wrong. She was expecting to swear to defend her clan as well, not the Dark Forest, and this took her off-guard, was she really willing to swear something like this? Well, she was in part defending it already, and not by staying, but thanks to her goal of helping them out of the shadows that had tainted the ghostly cats for so many moons.

She looked up at Treestep, still hesitating but not really showing it, as it only looked as the usual nervousness of any apprentice at the moment of being given a warrior name “I…I do” She just had to remind herself, she was going to protect the Dark Forest, yes, but in her own non-violent way, helping them to get free from the despair that had managed to get a tight hold of their hearts, and hoped that she wouldn’t be forced to break a promise for the first time by fighting them someday.

Sedgepaw nodded, this was the only time he was feeling scared "I do" he mewed as bravely as he possibly could.

Treestep smiled and continued, "By the powers of the Dark Forest, I give you your warrior names." She panicked for a slight second, not knowing what to call the two cats but finally came to her sense. "Blizzardpaw, you shall be now known as Blizzard shine and Sedgepaw, you shall be now known as Sedgewhisker. The Dark Forest honour you both."

Sedgewhisker puffed out his chest, he looked at his sister "We're finally warriors!" he mewed happily.

Blizzardshine nodded with a smile, but said anything. She still had that feeling that she wasn't really a warrior, since StarClan wasn't there to approve it, leaving a bittersweet aftertaste.

Gentlenose, who had been sitting in the crowd, padded forwards to congratulate her two kits. "I'm so proud of you two," she purred, giving each a lick on the cheek. Her eyes shone with happiness, but there was a sad dullness masked just behind it. It felt wrong for her son and daughter to be made warriors under the Dark Forest's foul name.

Sedgewhisker looked at his mother and nuzzled her "Thanks" he mewed "But you've made us get up to here" he mewed.
