Seeking Refuge [For exiled cats]

The jagged teeth of Highstones loomed before her, casting great shadows that stretched miles over the land. Darkstar stood below them with her children in tow. At the moment, she was carrying one, while the rest followed behind her, taking turns carrying each one. At last she had reached the great walls of rock at the edge of the known territory. They were closer to Starclan here, and far enough away from the Dark Forest-aligned cats to be safe. The featureless expanse left the Thunderclan she-cat to feel exposed and vulnerable, and she wondered if the Windclan tales of hawks and eagles carrying off cats were true. She put down her child, near exhaustion, but satisfied that she had come so far. A ray of light made itself known, signaling the coming of dawn. Her paws ached and screamed for rest, but she needed to hunt. She couldn't leave her kits without sustenance, however tired and weary she may have been. The deep brown she-cat noticed a crack in the impossibly high wall of stone and checked inside. Nothing dangerous.

She turned back around to speak to her kits, but stopped to scent to air. Who was that? "Show yourself." As far as she knew, she had left alone; besides her kits, of course.

There was a kit following the leader "i'm right here!" she squeaked

Oceanlight followed. She blinked. "It was curious seeing you leave Twolegplace with your kits." she explained. She looked at the crack in the wall of stone. "Looks fine for some to stay in, probably not enough to shelter everyone though." she said.
