So, you guys probably have a lot of sugar a day, correct? Well you are actually suppose to have of 5% of sugar a day, well mostly saying sugar should be 5% of your diet each day of your life. It has recently been covered by a 10% of sugar a day. Heres a way I can put it:

5% Sugar A Day
10% Sugar A Day (incorrect)

Putting this in another kind of terms this would be 37 gs - men and 25 gs - women, so in tps that would be 9 tps - men 6 tps - women. If your short than the amount is lower for you, sad right? No more chocolate for me....Maybe. But I mean for this list I won't be including Coco-Cola since you already should know it's bad for you and can hurt your skin (I'm pretty sure), but if you really wanted to know it is 35 gs, and for both genders obviously, so that's 7 tps.

So here we go, let me tell you the foods that have some high amounts of sugar in them!

10. Banana

Bananas are actually pretty good for you but you still should be careful because they do have a high amount of sugar in them. A large banana has 17 gs of sugar in them, comparing to over 3 tps which is pretty high, it is also half a mans daily recommended intake, crazy.

9. Shop Bought Pasta Sauce

I'm not a huge fan of sauce for pasta but I do eat it sometimes, so I probably am pretty good on this one. If you guys have found the pre-made pasta sauce pretty sweet like me, then I guess were the same. A lot of people do not know the amounts of sugar there is in pre-made pasta. So, as an example Prego's pre-made pasta sauce is 8 gs of sugar per serving, so that's half an amount of a chocolate bar. And, if you have Dolmio sauce then it has more sugar than six sugar cubes, that's the same as a Mars bar.

8. Granola Bars

Correct, it is made from nuts, whole grain oats, seeds, and dried fruit. It is marketed as a health food but really, it is just a whole bunch of sugar. So, they actually added this:


  • Added Sugar


  • Sweetness


  • Natural Sugar


This regular shop bar can contain the amount of 15 gs of sugar, that is 3 tps of sugar, not so healthy now, is it? I recommend you make your own at home, this is so you know the ingredients you are making it with, making sure it's heathy.

7. Protein Bars

Seriously, you need to look at the label for these bars, they are starting to lie about what is in them. There needs to be at least under 5 gs of sugar in there. As an example the pure protein s'mores bar has 21 gs of sugar in them, so that's 4 tps. This is also moved over to the Harvest protein bar with 25 gs of sugar.

6. Canned Soup

You could actually think that these soups don't have sugar in them but man, do they have sugar. Some of them are healthy for you and some of them are not, like the Heinz tomato soup it has 20 gs of sugar, that is 4 tps which is almost half the amount of daily sugar recommended for men and two thirds of the recommended amount for women.

Pretty much everything you eat has sugar in it, at least in America. We're just a f***ed up country. .-.
