Nightkit and Wrenkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Ashstar leapt onto the Tallrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!"

Flash storm padded up to the Tallrock and settled down. More apprentices meant more warriors soon. What good news! The ginger warrior looked up at Ashstar and waited.

Smokepelt padded over to the crowd of cats, realizing it was time for kits to become apprentices, one of his favorite reasons of being a clan cat. The tom loved seeing apprentices train and grow to become warriors. Letting out a content sigh, he sat down, curious as to who their mentors would be and hoping Nightkit would be his apprentice. It'd been a while since he'd trained a young cat, and the warrior knew Nightkit practically a little ray of sunshine, something he needed in his life right now.

With a skip in her step and a smile on her face, Wrenkit raced up to the Tallrock. The cream kit's fur was glossy and was smoothed down neatly. Her blue eyes had a twinkle in them as she glanced up at her leader. She felt more excitement than nervousness. Soon enough, she'd be Wrenpaw, hunting through the forests, fighting off intruders, attending Gatherings, and serving her Clan.
And soon enough, Wrenkit thought, I'll be a warrior, training my own apprentice, leading patrols, and maybe I'll even become WrenSTAR! She thought, her grin growing as her thoughts continued to whirl around in her mind. Wrenkit was going to make sure that she would be the best, most impressive apprentice ever. She was determined to be the fastest learner. She'd run faster than any other WindClan cat! And all of the other apprentices would have to try and catch up to her progress, and they'd be so jealous of her when she became a warrior before them...
I should stop dreaming of this stuff now...even though it's fun to think about all the apprentices bowing down to the newest warrior, Wrenjump! Or Wrenflight...or Wrenrun...or Wrenspirit? Yes! Wrenspirit! That will totally be my warrior name! She thought, getting ahead of herself.

Nightkit was already around camp, hiding between the shadows aided by her dark fur and thinking on what could be her new prank and how to perform it, as well as looking for potential victims. Her pranks, as always, were meant to be completely harmless, only meant to bring them to conversation with the cats she had pranked in the past and share a good laugh.

She looked at the leader as soon as he called for a meeting, wondering what was going on until something finally clicked inside her head. She had been so busy with her pranks for the last few days that she had forgotten completely what day it was!

She rushed out from her hiding spot and ran towards the other kits that were waiting for their own ceremony, almost crashing into them, and started to clean her fur in a hurry to look nice. Nobody wanted to have their pelt full of gorse thorns during their apprentice ceremony after all.

Smokepelt was glad to have another apprentice since he hadn't had a cat to train in a while. Finding Wrenpaw, the deputy touched noses with the newly apprentice. "I can't wait to start training," he meowed with a smile.

Nightpaw smiled and padded towards Saltpelt, happy to know that she was going to train with her aunt and wondering what she would teach her. As soon as she was close enough she tried to reach her nose, wanting to make her a lot of questions but not until the ceremony was officially over.
