The Lone Vixen {OPEN TO ALL}

This had been Vixenkit's first week as an apprentice, and she had accomplished the minor goals of getting rid of the elders' ticks on their fur, changing out the moss in their den, and playing with some of the kits. She might be shy and quiet, but she was still a young apprentice, and she wanted to go out into the territory and do something fun and exciting, like go on a patrol, or at least do some hunting training.

Antdrop padded out of the warrior's den and saw his new apprentice sitting alone. "Enjoying the day?" He meowed, walking up to Vixenpaw.

"Er, yes..." She said quietly, not facing her mentor. She blinked, wondering if she should ask him when training would begin.

Antdrop sat down next to his apprentice, the warmth of the sun feeling great on his fur. He knew she was the silent type, but he wondered if something was wrong. "Is something on your mind?" Mudfoot meowed softly, looking down at the she-cat.

OOC: Are you meaning to say Antdrop? You've been saying Mudfoot. This is SkC.

She hated lying, to anyone...and besides, Antdrop was her mentor. Vixenpaw could trust him.
"I'm just kind of tired of just cleaning ticks out of fur, and replacing moss over and over again...we haven't done any training for a week..." She explained, being careful to not raise her voice to a helpless squeal.

Antdrop looked off into the distance, realizing what she was was right, though was it really a whole week? "I'm sorry, I should've planned a training session earlier," he meowed in reply. "How about tonight before it gets dark, we go on an evening hunting patrol?" He said with a smile, hoping she would forgive him.

Her tail perked up with excitement, and even though she seemed as if she would burst would happiness, she quietly responded.
"That would be great."

"Don't think I'm going to go easy on you," Antdrop meowed teasingly, lightly batting the apprentice's head with his black paw.

"I don't need you to go easy on me in the first place...I'm gonna be the best hunter ever!" She told him. She may be quiet, but she was still young and had here own little dreams of being the best.

"I bet you are," he purred. Antdrop usually wasn't the nicest cats, but for some reason, having an apprentice made him feel this odd happiness. "Well, you best get some food or rest, you'll need your strength for tonight," Antdrop gave his black fur a good shake and laid down, his front legs folded under his chest.

She smiled, "Okay."
She raced off towards the fresh-kill pile and pulled out a mouse, and then went over to sit with some other apprentices and eat. Her excitement was overflowing. She barely ever sat with the other apprentices.
